So yesterday we tried to go up the hill towards the A444 but the police did not let anyone go up the hill.
The idiots said you have to walk under the tunnel (to the away supporters in their coaches) to then have to cross the fucking A444.
Who the hell thinks that’s a good idea!

side note - never saw so much trouble at cov games, every game there is some sort of fight. One before the game around block 14 as QPR fans were walking through, they were obviously looking for trouble

They did this against blues. It made no sense. They were Birmingham police as I kept asking how we get back across and they didn’t know. We then saw a load of blues fans jump a few cov lads in the car park. You then have to cross the dual carriageway with no real crossing. My dad doesn’t walk particularly well so it was dicey. We now go into arena car park and up that way. We didn’t see any trouble yesterday (probably cuz we took that route) but it does feel like there’s trouble at every game now. Partly it will be the bigger away crowds, but we do have a fair few who want to give the opposition shit for no good reason. Fairly depressing really.

As mentioned on here all season, the policing is pathetic.

The whole fence thing is getting worse.

The away fans having to walk over the hill to get shuttle buses is silly.

We've seen a lot of trouble because teams like QPR are bringing bigger followings than they usually do so attract extra idiots that wouldn't go.

The number of away fans at the Ricoh this season must be the highest in the division.

I will be taking the route where you go under the train tracks towards Tesco’s and back up again. A tip to other do not go under the tunnel to the away fans as you will either take a left and cross the A444 or right which walks you straight into away fans going to their coaches.

yes it probably is the bigger away crowds, and yes we are not angels ourselves at times.

They've done this before and its completely idiotic as it much of the crowd management at the arena. The primary aim seems to be to get people off the footprint of the arena, I presume at that point its 'not our problem' so they don't care if it forces home and away fans together somewhere else.

There needs to be a total rethink as there's trouble pretty much every game now and I don't believe our fans are any worse than other clubs so you have to question why there are so many issues.

Do any side in the championship keep away supporters in for 10 minutes etc.

I’ve been to a few myself but never been kept in. Maybe that’s the best way

As an aside, not much of a fan of seeing an entire stand full of away fans celebrating their goals.

Disorder and arrests are supposedly up across the entire league

Football arrests 'highest in years' & disorder on the rise - police

With fans back into full capacity stadiums this season, BBC Sport has seen figures showing record levels of arrests and increasing disorder.

There were several scuffles going into the turnstiles at block 15 around 2.40ish, older rangers " fans" trying to start fights. Absolutely pathetic seeing older men trying to pick fights with the police stood right next to it.

We saw one City fan in his 60s windmilling 4 QPR fans dont know what caused it but it was quite funny.
Other City fans broke it up th e police arrived when it was all over.
Must be what you're on about.
Doesnt help that the queue blocks the road forcing fans to push through the line to get to the other turnstiles.

100% it was dangerous and I had small children with me on the day. Police did not care where they were sending us and they need a real think about what they are doing. 100s of people crossing the A444 is a public safety risk.

You’ve nailed it the club and police have confirmed this is the priority and it needs rethinking as does some of our knob head fans attitudes

Stewarding also a joke around 14/15/16 in particular. Does there need to be 5 or 6 stewards crowding the stairway? No there doesn’t, fuck off. You can go so far past safety and into ridiculously hazardous.

Problem is, someone decided to close the overspill block 13.

Every since the segregation has gone up, it's been crowded.

Saw someone on the Facebook forum who had administered CPR say he’d given the brother of the casualty a lift to hospital. The paramedics had managed to stabilise him in the ambulance en route apparently. Would be nice to have a positive update on any progress, if those close to him feel appropriate. I’ll post an update if I see anything else.

After the game? If so, yeah, a lad came in the club and was telling us about it.
Actually sounded more serious than the incident in the ground.

Glad to hear that. The way that paramedic was pumping down on his chest I thought he was gone. Great effort by all to get him stable.

Problem is like not being able to handle your booze. The little fekkers on it aren't having a cheeky little line to perk them up a bit, rather doing three lines going all big eyed and wanting to take on the world.

I'm not anti drugs per se.

But cocaine is a particularly bad chemical to mix with alcohol and tribalism.

Little dab of MDMA instead. Problem solved.

The entire safety group needs sacking asap.

Unless their plan is to make it as unattractive as possible to attend the game then they are doing an awful job.

The very minimum they could do is get somebody from a similar sized stadium to come and advise on how things can be done differently. Let's see how we don't have to walk a fucking maze of fences at Saints in a couple of weeks and there be no trouble.

This season I've been to 5 away games.
Milwall
Blackburn
Hull
Preston
Peterborough

Haven't been kept behind anywhere, haven't seen any trouble.

What is the problem with the CBS?
