Was a bit moody walking back through Digbeth. At one point there was some fat black bloke in the middle of the road, wearing his silly Paddington bear scarf, with about 15 of his retarded mates, shouting and seemingly looking for someone to attack. Isn’t it time these prats grew up?

Would it have been less abhorrent if he was white? Or was the scarf your trigger?

Why would you park at the ground, you must have known it would be mad getting away. We parked in a nearby estate and was home for 17:15

Nice try at virtue signalling but no it was his aggressive behaviour that was my ‘trigger’. I said he was black because he was and others probably noticed him too, they would have struggled not to.

No ‘trying’ here m8. Just wasn’t sure why race was relevant.

Tbf he was describing him, not using race in a derogatory way. He mentioned fat too, but that didn't resonate in the same way. Think there are other points of race related issues that need addressing before we get to telling people they can't use race in being descriptive.

Never said it was derogatory.

A blues fan offered my brother out and he just said “nah, you’re alright mate” and went on.

It’s so rare that you get trouble if you’re not looking for it.

I know a couple of people who got caught up right in the middle of it all, they had murder trying to get out of there. A group of cov showed up intent on trouble, singing songs about brummies etc, at that point the atmosphere changed straight away, very nasty, ambushes from side streets & the Cov lot who were looking for trouble (and anyone unlucky enough to be around them) had a very bad day- as anyone who went there in the 80s will know, if you want to cause trouble at St Andrews & come out unscathed you need a lot more than 50 kids with hoodies. Birmingham on twitter saying how they ‘kicked them all the way out of digbeth’, delighted with their days work... a couple of them even mentioned the match itself :emoji_relaxed:

Let's just hope no scores to settle for the replay and we all get on like civilised fans. If it kicks off then Brum might think twice about us staying their next season if we can't sort things out with W****. Then we could be further away at Burton for example, if you know someone who want's to kick-off for this then let them know, THEY ARE NOT A CCFC SUPPORTER and we don't need or want them.

Have no sympathy at all for any of that mob that turned up if they got a slap. Just really hope no normal Cov fans did. Problem is some always do as these so called mobs giving it the big un are usually surrounded by police which half of em want to happen anyhow.

As I say once word went round that a mob had turned up slagging Brummies, calling it on etc that had peoples attitudes changing. Certainly people in our end were talking about it, changing their after match plans.

I suspect the ‘A’ team will be out for the replay which will make Digbeth a nightmare.

I train with some of these people and just can’t get the mentality. Happily the vast majority of us had a good trouble free day. I spoke to many Cov fans and didn’t see any problems just loads of crack and banter.

Will be interesting if we get the same turn out for the replay as the uniqueness has gone.

As my son and I were walking down from New Street about 2:30, we could hear a chant of 'Birmingham is full of sh1t' from a group with a huge police escort.
Fortunately didn't see any trouble on way back though.

Same. I was in town initially but then two old mates in the George. Had to sneak in through the back door and cover my scarf though! Even when they realised I was Cov they were sound and wishing us well.

Main Stand car park down Garrison Lane, along A45, get off at Stonebridge, A452 through Balsall Common, through Honiley, Hatton then Warwick.

We never leave early and usually get home around six.

Exactly, regardless of a handful of Cov fans who turned up, most Blues fans were 'lads' in clobber. They would have wanted to cause trouble whoever it was there.

As others have said, they were looking for anyone walking back to town.
