This will be a difficult game would definitely take a point, they are dreadful away but their home form against the top ten is impressive.

I would be gutted with anything but a win to be honest. They are bottom for a reason.

I think this will be a tough game to walk away with a win. No doubt we will dominate possession however we struggle with teams that play a low block with quick counters. If we can show a bit of quality in the final third today we will be okay but Plymouth have delivered some notable scalps at their home ground.

Didn't realise Bristol City have only won once in their last 14 away games,so a draw or defeat for them today. Luton owe us one. We win today (be tough but we are playing well) I think we are safely in playoffs, need to push for 5th place finish. PUSB We can do this

If we perform to anywhere near our usual level we’ll win. We’ve got to avoid doing what we did vs Derby both times and giving away a cheap 1-0 lead.

They have taken some scalps at home, equally they have had some indifferent or poor results there too. Like any game in this league if we don’t turn up we won’t get away with it.

If we can’t grind results out against two of the bottom 3 at this stage, we won’t deserve that playoff spot.

I don't know whether it's luck or a testament to his incredible fitness - probably a bit of both - but he has played an amazing number of minutes and yet hardly ever seems to be out through injury or fatigue.

Given that it's the one position where we don't have proper cover, we have been very lucky. I hope he doesn't get crocked for the playoffs if we make it

Yup

Honestly, it's almost like some supporters have only just started following the club.

Year after year, season after season, there is pretty much always a team or two, right at the bottom end of the league, who start picking up wins at the death.

It is a thing. This "bottom for a reason" doesn't really count for much.

Yes, they are bottom because that's where they deserve to be right now.

That doesn't automatically in turn, mean that for the last 3 or 4 games of the season, they will keep playing like a team at the bottom.

Players are fighting to stay at the club, for the future, to avoid drops in wages that would come in, in the league below.

We have done this ourselves so many times over the years. Suddenly played out of our skin in order to win games, right at the death.

I really think Plymouth will be very dangerous

And you only have to look at No Loyalty's post

Against the top ten sides, at home, they have only lost once and have five wins. That's pretty impressive.

This will be tough I'm sure.

Bottom for a reason does count for something. Its nonsense to think otherwise.

Plymouth have done well at home against the top sides. This game won't be anywhere near as easy as many think.

I'd happily take a point.

Would you be happy to take a point if Middlesbrough win?

I've seen people saying that they are more confident against Boro than against bottom of the table plymouth. It's absurd.

One reason. Wayne Rooney.

Do you agree we're quite solid at home? So are they. It makes a difference.

Teams at the bottom do start to pull wins out of nowhere

Yes. Take a point from this and it guarantees our season goes down to the last game of the season against Middlesbrough at home even if they win their next 2 games. We're solid at home just like Plymouth are.

Thats just a nonsense. They've been crap under the new manager, and their fans dont rate him either.

If the new manager had been there all season they'd only be 8 points better off based on his PPG since coming in.

but if your them this is a must win game, they’ll have to have a go at us, that suits us, come on lads they’re bottom of the league, be a bit more positive, no way I’m taking a point

Do you imagine Boro fans before the last game were saying they'd take a point at Plymouth? Or if Bristol fans had Plymouth they'd be happy with a point. I'm not sure why as fans we are selling ourselves short.

8 PTS is alot? Would have them 2-3 places above relegation zone. Not bad for Plymouth?

I think their manager is good. Got them competing. Some very big wins and he speaks well

Not sure how representative an online forum is of an entire fan base when it comes to not liking the manager etc

8 points isn't a lot over the course of a season. Fans are going on on this page like he has them playing like Pep.

Wilder thought and said the same. Liverpool thought going to Plymouth was a formality. Look at their home results.

I suppose if we get a bad result you can always come on here ranting about our performance against the bottom side.

BTW if they had 8 points more they would be quite safe and not 24th.

Think he's just doing a good job with an underdog team

I'd take a draw today but a win would be massive . As I keep saying for me I just want to see a continuation of the good performances mostly

Freak results happen.

Unfortunately I have higher hopes from our team, that is aiming for the Premier leauge, than being happy with a draw against the team on the bottom of the table who average barely above 1 point a game.

So if we have 3 good performnaces before the end of the year, but get 3 draws you'd be happy if it meant falling out the play offs?

That is way better than ours…

No doubt it’s a very tough game and the way we play is suited to them

However, play how we did last 2 games and we’ll get a result

I mean anything can happen but the idea that people are majorly worried about playing a team as bad as Plymouth is mad.

If we play near our best then we should win easily.

Exactly, anything less than 3 wins will be a bit dissapointing, don’t want to be stumbling into the play off, go in flying, 3-1 Cov

In amongst those results is a 0-3 against Sheff Weds, 2-3 against Derby, various draws against other teams at the bottom. If we turn up and perform we win.
