Can somebody please point out in the club accounts where it shows the total raised by these supporter clubs. Just asking for a friend.

I have up even arguing. Clearly if you give enough money to the club you can bypass the usual points brackets and let anyone have a ticket

To be eligible for a ticket in a supporters club you have to be a st holder and the supporters club isnt given an infinite number of tickets. The largest supporters club in the country gets less than 100 tickets and have nearly 500 members and they get given to those who attend away games regularly anyway who would have enough points.

its the usual jealousy politics playing out here when all of a sudden the team are doing well.
I went to both Cardiff, Sunderland and Burnley and am going to Hull which is still on general sale. Didn't see many ranting about not getting a ticket for these games.
Supporters clubs are open to anyone to join but it doesnt guarantee you an away ticket and the clubs contribute substantial amounts of money to the club through memberships, charity nights and player nights

While i accept this is the practice that is meant to happen i know from my own experience that people can obtain away tickets from supporters club without having the required points. It may not guarantee a ticket but it certainly helps those who wouldnt ever qualify at all. They are open to join for a nominal membership fee substantially less than the money spent travelling the country by those who actually have accumulated the points.

There's people in this thread that think those with 1700+ haven't had to do any miles to accumulate them. There's no hope with some.

This the Tav's SC offering. Can't be bothered with the rights and wrongs of it but if you have a ST and you are happy to pay 20 quid a year they'll sort you away tickets which is a way for people who can't get on the "ticket ladder" to get to away games.

Should the fee be higher for membership?

There’s been games this year where you’d have struggled to give tickets away, let alone sell them on just to claim points.

I don’t deny there will be occasions where people on high points tallies will sort family/friends out, but by and large, you won’t get to 1600+ unless you put in the miles.

I’m on 1440 points and missed a ST in 2022/23 and didn’t many away games since last season. So even if I did have a ST in 2022/23, I still wouldn’t have 1700+ points because it takes commitment.

Yeah the point I'm making is it's a pound a match or less actually, I'm going to log off now as I'm not sure going to make the case for more expensive rigmarole

It’s the usual suspects making the same tired arguments when they can’t get a ticket for oversubscribed games. Tough luck. If you don’t want to spend £150-200+ a month supporting the team up and down the country, that’s fine. Just don’t cry about it when you’re not at the front of the queue for the big games.

Luton away and the playoff away leg (should we get there) that we’ll hear about it all again.

Due to "MASSIVE abuse" you should be able to pick up some tickets fairly easily.

I also forgot, but have spoke to dad and he can’t do this one anyway, never mind. I shan’t buy regardless to pocket the points…

Instead now I’ll be looking after 2 extra dogs and will be paid in Domino’s Pizza.

Yes, definitely.

And I am much happier now I see that the 70:30 split is in fact already in place with the 30% allocated to Supporter Clubs

You're a good friend. I hope you sold it to him for double the face value. You can't knock 10pts & a profit to start the week.

So do you think the match ticket and travel are free then. People in supporters clubs still pay the full price for a ticket and the travel on top of the membership fee

Apparently the coaches are also full of ice cold cans that appear from nowhere which you can drink too.

There are just other avenues where, with a bit of research & stumping up the cash, you can get to the game.

This is it. If you want a ticket, there are ways and means. If you exhaust those options, then so be it at least you can say you tried and didnt sit and whined about it online.

Apparently Doug is giving every supporters club a box next season to be used by members if they have at least 20 points and give the wanker sign to all those who think its unfair as well
