He was probably told that by TF, JS etc. When I am in a job I don't expect to be lied to by my employers. I should trust them.

It's no coincidence the day MR joined Huddersfield it was announced the Ricoh talks have broken down.

I personally dont believe he was lied to at any point, and i've heard nothing from either party to suggest he was. He actually praised JS, TF and SW and made vague references to the Council as to why he walked. He probably decided to use our financial situation as an excuse to leave when he got offered more money elsewhere...its as laughable as players joining Man City because they believe in the "project". I think most people understand the concept of moving on for more money/better prospects etc but the sense of betrayal comes from what he said prior to leaving. Even he must regret saying what he said because he implied a connection and affinity with the club and fans, which he found only too easy to turn his back on for more cash. Football is an emotive sport full of passion but that becomes a double edged sword when you dont act in the right way... our sense of betrayal is justified. This will blow over im sure but for now i think he's a tosser and he probably wont be off my radar for a long time...at least until he is sacked or in a lower division than us!

Of course fans are going to be bitter about it.

His comments prior to leaving + the first manager we've had since 87 who hasn't been a dribbling idiot + the first time in ages where we've looked like we could compete at the level we are at = its natural that some fans are going to be bitter about his exit.

We've had so much sh*t to deal with as Cov fans and he has been the one shining light n a long time and you think people aren't going to be angry/annoyed/bitter about the whole fiasco? Get in the real world!

Am i bitter, not really but i am pissed off with what he did to us. This has been the first time for the last 15 years (at least) that we have had a manager that we all believed in and the players also did. There are ways about conducting your business in football and the way he left the club was disgusting. He opted for the easy way out without having the bottle to explain to fans the reason which for me was pathetic. I dont hate Hudderfield, they are as long suffering (if not more) than we are as a club but at present i hope he crashes and burns in that role. Again not bitter but 'what goes around....'

To be fair Eric Black wasn't a dribbling idiot, it was the board who were dribbling idiots to get rid of him!
