Nothing to be down about .
Had a bad game today it will happen .
We have won 3 of our first 4 games and its more than most people would have taken before we kicked off the season .
We move on and with a winnable home game next week lets hope we bounce back .PUSB

There will be a few no doubt. But there's genuinely nothing to be gloomy and doomy about at the moment.

I agree nothing to be gloomy about. In fact this result may well be good for us in the long run as it exposes just how thin our squad is and emphasizes the need for reinforcements.

To be quite honest I am rather down in the dumps. I always hate to see the City lose and obviously having 2 key players go off injured just adds to the gloom.

The other thing that bugs me is that had we won today, the crowd against Southend would have been that much higher.

Shame now we have a week and 2 days til our next match in order to put things right.

Absolutely no doom or gloom here. Of course I would have preferred a victory today but a defeat by one goal after three good wins is fine. I still believe the football I have seen at the Ricoh in the two games is amongst the best I have seen in the last decade so I'm ready for Southend and hopefully three points then

On the contrary Otis the break gives us time to get Maddison fit or to find a way of playing without him!

Bank holiday though, ought to be a half decent crowd regardless.

And of course a defeat is disappointing, but it just balances out a good result against Wigan really. We're still above par for me, and we're still scoring goals - both of which are good things.

TM's plans went out of the window not long after the start when Madders went off injured. He also couldn't put fresh legs on near the end. He couldn't put Tudgay on to add pressure.

We need 2 points a game to get 92 points. We are above that. A draw next game will give us that. No team goes the whole season winning every game. And we are only 1 point off the top.

Yep, I know. Just that I have always been down in the dumps when we lose. Always been the case.

Guess that means I am a very moody person doesn't it.

I'd mentally prepared myself for a loss, I felt it was a game too far and Crewe showed how we could be played.

Hopefully it gives a few a kick up the arse and helps them kick on from here. How we respond will be key, also how we cope without Maddison if we have to.

Would be a good time to bring in that striker.

Guess the worrying thing with this is that, that is now 2 games in a row where we have let 2 goals in. Big concern. Other worrying thing is the 2 injuries. Really cross our fingers on that.

As long as we can bounce back positively I can take the odd loss albeit badly but injuries are going to expose our lack of depth big time...

Excepting Swindon, all the others at the top today had home advantage. The situation will be reversed on 31st August.

Lost but Walsall are Now top so good team. Also key player injured in 1st 5 mins and thrn rb injured early second so no tactical changes possible in final 30 mins. 3 wins from every 4 will do me!

Beat southend a d it's back to cloud 9.

Only real downer is Maddison injury. Hopefully he's baxk asap

And also the fans who wanking over wilson whilst their team is losing. That really annoyed me.

But other than that let's not worry too much

You have to wonder how differently the game would have panned out had we not lost Maddison. Didn't help at all that we lost him so early on either.

Hopefully get a few more players in to give us some strength in depth

Walsall away is a tough fixture regardless of the starts by both sides. Glad to get the inevitable defeat out of the way to be honest.

we have a good nucleus but still have weaknesses. An exceptional start could mask that and raise false expectation. So glad we have been grounded a little.

But then we said the opposite after the first two; we had gone 2 games without conceding at all.

still early days. No need to panic

More worried about losing JOB and Maddison than today's result.
