I got a vr set for my mobile phone if that counts.
Nearly chucked up my dinner within 3 minutes.
Gave me a severe case of vertigo / Travel sickness
I don't usually suffer from it but as soon as I was in vr I knew I was in trouble

IS now collecting dust

The little one had a go at a gaming show and it made her go a bit funny. She was flying on the game and believed it that much her legs went.

I'm not surprised. The box said ' use while sitting ' so there must be an issue

I'd love a go on it, but for £350 I couldn't justify it. It has so much potential though, we've come a long way since those shitty VR sets you'd get in some arcades. Driving games could be particularly good.

I saw the driving game, but then I thought it would probably need a whole wheel rig with pedals to work.

i'm the same, I will leave it for a year or two to see any evolution of this product. If it has legs still then I will buy it but at the moment there isn't enough out there. Similar to the two next gen consoles at the moment to a certain extent/

Was going to get VR for my mobile too, but now you mention feeling sick, I think I'll give it a miss. I quiet often get that travel sickness feeling just playing COD or a.n.other first person shooter on thr Xbox!

Okay

Time to eat humble pie.

I'VE just spent the last hour playing with the PlayStation vr set

It's probably the most 'next technology ' thing i've ever seen
Totally indescribable and unbelievable.
Very very good, and if I had the time to become a gamer I would definitely get one.

I had no vertigo or motion sickness with it, it is streets ahead of the mobile phone version, wow a lot.

If anyone was thinking of getting one, just do it

Really? Which games did you try?

I was going to hold off until it was more established and more games were out.

Batman
Played new resident evil demo, very very scary when you're getting stabbed with a big fucking knife I tells thee.

There was another couple but these 2 were wonderful. the Batman one was as immersing as you can probably believe.
you put on bat suit etc, even the prelude when his parents get killed, you can look around past the Mum and see the killer

Honestly I was highly impressed

Does the sound come through it as well? Did you need to stand up?

I'd last about two minutes on a VR Resi before I bricked it and switched it off in a panic. If anyone's played Outlast, I ended up shitting myself and uninstalling it completely.

Haha. I shit my pants just playing the resident evil demo. as soon as someone came near me it put me right on Edge.
Check on YouTube for the video of the demo, then realise you're in that video, very very unsettling.
I don't think I'd be able to play it fully
