If you look near the bottom of Malaga's Wiki profile it tells you the current city squad and the squad numbers they are, i could be wrong but Thomas has moved to 4, keogh to 6 , kilbane and elliot at 15 & 16, Cody at 14 , does this mean we are still hoping to sign a new striker who will wear the number 9 shirt ? i.e. a proven goal scorer

I could have some False info but there has been Number Changes, there might still be more to come but in all fairness Cody Might not want the number 9 shirt he might have 14 as hs favurite number? or he could have it just hasn't been changed yet.

Squad numbers haven't been assigned for the current season, I wouldn't read too much into it.
