of course, if not sold then he's a coventry player. unless Thorn knows otherwise and is just waiting for the inevitable.

thats the whole idea of pre season, especially as we've got so many games this year. give Thorn chance to see who plays well together, what works and what doesn't, try out new things etc

Nope. You play your best team and wherever possible, your best players.

If Keogh is still here he'll be first player down on the team sheet.

Agreed, I think even without Keogh we'll have one of the strongest defences in the league. With Keogh it could well be the strongest.

We'll certainly need some defensive cover though.

In pre season games you play as many players as you can and try out different formations.

Once the season starts it is down to the serious stuff. You then put out your strongest side.

If keogh goes, the only cover you have for Wood and Cameron is Willis and Henderson, i still think they could put a decent shift in for us but not against the better teams in the division, so yes i'd say two new defenders, a versatile one who could play like left back and centre back, and one experience centreback

We have Kilbane that can play LB. We will have to see if and who we sign to get an idea where he will play.

Yep, sorry, misread the OP. Thought he was talking about the season starting with Keogh's future still in doubt.

You experiment in the pre-season friendly matches for sure.
