Realistic wise, I know it causes a divie amongst fans, but id say, depending on whether he could stay fit, Chris Kirkland. Hes obviously out of favour at Wigan, but I think if we could afford him (and we all knoww the board wont break the bank for anyone) then id go for him as an ex player.

From your list, Id agree with Keane without a doubt, however this will never happen. We can keep dreaming though (If SISU pulled this off, they'd be the best owners EVER!!!!).

Jay Tabb was good, but he didnt settle here so even if Reading got promoted, we wouldnt get a look in.

Everyone says Mifsud, but he was never really that good. And everyone hated him when he left. Now he's too old, hasn't had a club in ages, he's been dropped from being captain of Malta to not playing at all. I for one wouldn't even like to see him in England.

I'd like to see Dann, Fox, Keane & Tabb.

Is this players of any era? or players that can still play? or players that we've got any chance of resigning?

I personally think it is time for Robbie Keane to drop down a league. He just doesn't seem to be able to cut it in the Premiership any more. Misses bags of chances and he won't get enough of them in the top flight. He would be devastating in the Championship though. Loved his time at City. Will never forget that goal against Arsenal, genius.

Would love Keane but could never afford his wages and that's true of many of the ex-players who would still be worth having (B*llamy, Dann, Sturridge). Juke will offer as much as than Best and Hussey can be comparable with Fox. Tabb is the only realistic option I think as he was decent but probably not Premier League if Reading go up, however he was homesick if I remember.

Last i heard he was playing in Malta.
I liked him when he was here, especially the Man U game, but after that his ego just grew too big for his boots. The whole sending off against the baggies and the Bristol City saga was just stupid.

Still, he was good for that one season .

Keane, deffo, only saw him a few times as a kid but he was easily the best player i've seen in a city shirt.

Mifsud could still do a job in the right team. He could trap it further than most players kick it with a first touch akin to that of Platt, but he had pace to burn and the right ball on the floor and through the middle then his finishing was ok.
