So now we have (almost) finished this very disappointing season (when you look at how close we were to getting into the top 6) our thoughts are turning to the new season already.

Whilst at the game on Saturday I was wondering about which players we will actually be seeing at CCFC again. We have had so many comings and goings, really can't remember which players are actually ours.

Which current players are contracted to be with us next season?

RCC until 2017
Burge until 2018
Willis until 2018
Jones until 2020 (pre contract agreement)
Lameiras until 2018
Vincelot until 2017
Gadzhev until 2017
Rose until 2017
George Thomas until 2017
Stokes one year option in clubs favour
Harris until 2018
Stevenson until 2017

Then the kids we've signed - not sure if any of them will be in or around the first team next season:
Ponticelli
Sayoud until 2018
Addai
Leahy
Whitmore
Shipley
Maycock

Yes, just checked and you're right. One year option in the clubs favour.

Just checked on Stevenson and he signed a 2 year contract in 2015.

Harries signed a 3 year deal in 2015.

Do worry about the likes of Stevenson and the lengths of contract.

Not saying there is much else the club can do past offering a further year, but if Stevenson he breaks through next season and is really good we will probably just lose him in the Summer when his contract runs out.

At least with Harries we will have to be offered a transfer fee if he does well.

Stevenson is a decent player. Seen him a few times and he always looks more than capable of being in an L1 team. He will hopefully start appearing on the bench at the very least next season.

Thanks for the updates. We look very threadbare at the moment. Let's hope TM can conjure up some decent signings/loans to plug the gaps.

Think Lawton was promised a few extra months next season or pre season due to his injury. TM said he will give him a chance to see if he is up to the job.

We should have played him earlier to be honest so hopefully Mowbray will play him on Sunday. I watched him play for the 21s and he stands out a mile but I do agree that unless we secure him now he will be gone.

I would give Spence another 6 months contract to prove himself. Gifted player but tendency to drift out of games

Have we offered Aaron Martin a new contract does anyone know?

Signed in Jan 2015 for 18 months, so that is up in the summer.

That's a back 3 of potential crocks and a player who's had a very bad season as a CB.
Ps it's very narrow

Hilarious, martins been the outstanding centre back this season, and doesn't even get a contract in dons team, but ricketts and sicknote reda do, he also hates stokes, he'd rather sign Cody to play left back

Lol Haynes ahead of our best player of the season.

You are the most clueless poster on here.

Haynes needs to be developed as a left winger, he is not too good at fullback

Pretty obvious there are gaps in cover everywhere. Also central defence needs an overhaul, the team needs 2 capable & experienced centre backs to replace Ricketts & Johnson (though I suspect Rickets will remain).

Don't worry Steve. He knew it was me he was just doing a Doc Watson.
He just makes stuff up, spends a life doing it whilst casting his Rod.
Can you see the bit where I said I wouldn't give Martin a contract

Stokes will play as will Martin, injuries galore with those CB's.
Stokes just isn't a Wing back. More natural CB for me.

Lameries will bulk up and be poised to shine next season along with Jones. Reda given another life to secure his place and toughen up the defence along with Stokes and Martin in there. Attacking options not great but we'll be recruiting so an exciting option to look forward to. Undecided on the rest but I hope we keep Fleck!

I'm getting a tad concerned though. Willis is a centre back who TM wants to play at fullback, Stokes is a left back we want to see playing at centre half, Phillips is a fullback we want to see as a midfielder and Haynes is a left back we want to see as a left winger! Add to that Vincelot who has played everywhere but inbetween the sticks and we've got a right old bunch of misfits!

Is anyone going to play where they should next season?

Stokes is the best left back we've had since Fox. It's ridiculous to suggest he wouldn't be one of the first names on the team sheet.

Haynes is a dire option as a wing back as he has about the least stamina of a player at this level I've seen. He can never get back into position and his defensive positioning is just poor.
