from the day we were relegated to the third division
What players that we let go on free transfers do you think could have done a good job for us at this level
For me......

Hussey
McDonald
Martin
Obrien (debatable personality)
Phillips
Adams
Baker

Hussey - was shit for us
McDonald - was shit for us
Martin - Would've kept him but Mowbray doesn't rate him. I suppose he's not dominant enough to be the central centre half in a back three and not good enough on the ball to be one of the wide centre backs.
O'Brien - Overrated. There's a reason he's now at Shrewsbury.

McDonald 116 games 42 goals after he left us mostly at this level
Hussey at this level now has been signed by the favourites

Maybe Moussa, it'll be interesting to see how he gets on at Walsall.

Hussey and McSheffrey? Surprised to see them mentioned. I'm glad they were let go. If they'd stayed I think I'd have had to boycott

Yes I wrote his name then deleted it.
However with three at the back right now as a right sided CB?

Didn't he go, in order to go to a higher level?

re martin, yup, the impression given by TM was that Martin only put in a shift following a dressing down. Overall, there's nobody in that list that shouldn't be replaceable, even on sisu salaries.

Yeah, I guess we didn't let him go as such as he would have taken the better offer anyway, maybe a lesson in getting players on longer contracts if they show promise, so at least we'd get a fee.

Blair Adams is a strange one. I thought he was decent but what's he done since leaving? Apart from tumbling down the divisions?

Oh I'll bite;

Hussey - crap
McDonald - crap and would mean we'd never have signed Clarke ( who you don't mention)
Phillips - lol
Job - agree
Adams - done fuck all since
Baker - we'd not have signed Job and several others
Martin - yes

I want to say Macclesfield? Might be wrong though. Sure he went on loan initially before signing

So he's crap. Stokes is the best left back since fox but dongle is all in a tizzy as he loved Hussey.

Hussey can't be that crap if Sheff Utd signed him surely. Especially now in our formation. As an attacking wing back.
A straight choice between McDonald and Clarke, I would choose Clarke. I never saw it as a choice between the two though.

Stokes is a good left back. He is never a wing back that's going to be out formation.
When fit he will become the best CB we have playing as part of the back three.

Jonson Clarke-Harris never really lived up to his potential but still a player we were stupid to let go without giving him a shot at league 1

I'm not losing sleep over releasing any of them, bar Martin, in the last few nights

Also what does debatable personality mean?

Suggestion was it was his attitude that got him released not his performances
