I've been trying to equate what sort of team we could have had, had SISU's short sightedness not blighted our aspirations. I know all fans/clubs could do this, but in the last 3 years I think we have had:
GK- Westwood
LB-Fox
CH- Dann/Turner
MF- Gunnarson
CF- Best/King
Now had these guys been signed up.. with the addition of; Clingan, Keogh, Jukebox, Mc Sheffrey... the young lads, now so desperately overplayed; Bigi, Thomas, Hussey, Christie, could have been 'blooded' gradually and sensibly... I'd argue that this team would be challenging for a play off spot at least...with the cash returns that success brings.. bigger crowds, improved sponsorship, more TV exposure....
Short term gain... long term pain... thanks for "saving us" SISU:facepalm:
All things are possible OKP,But we've never turned up in enough numbers to actually sustain the spending,Can't believe i've said that ,makes me sound like a sisu lover ,the numbers never stack up at CCFC,main reason things are never given enough time ,everythings kneejerk ,until we stop doing it well never know if we can do it ,i mean did /Ranson really have to sack dowie, that Decission immediately jepeordised the imminent spending spree, and again with his puppet manager Cloleman ,how muich did those two sackings cost the club ,enough to cause the selling two or three of the best players to wear sky blue in years.
Again SACKING COLEMAN appointing BOOTHROYD then sacking @ what cost.It impacts Funds for signings ,saleries to retain best players,,desire of managers for fresh faces, wonder how much the revolving door has cost us since Strachan £10-12m.
