http://www.coventrycity-mad.co.uk/news/tmnw/thorn_to_decide_who_to_let_go_710195/index.shtml

According to Coventry mad Thorn has to sell players in January. I can't see any 'new blood' coming in, so any money raised will be to service our debt. With such a small squad already can we really afford to sell players? We might get away with selling a CB with Wood the most likely choice, however with McPake's injury record and Wood being able to cover LB I think it would be a mistake to sell him. As for other areas I don't really see where we can trim players from. Guess time will tell!

I'd go for Baker, McPake and Bell

oh, we have given them new contracts

ok, what about the Orange One himself, lets get rid of him and Eastwood, that should save on wages, pies and tanning salons

The more we sell the more certain we are to go down. Psychologically we are down on our knees as is the team.

Having supported City from the 3rd Division south days I guess I just accept that is where we are heading or it's equivalent.

How the might have fallen!

Can't see that this "story" is anything other than we expected is it?

But the real reason for us getting relegated will be Andy thorns lack of experience and the diamond formation. ;o)

SISU can barely afford a league one wage budget, so we will get a league one squad first off, shortly followed by League one status:

Here's who I think we'll keep going into next season...

Murphy - Dunn
Clarke - Phillips
Cameron - Christie
McPake -
Hussey - Ruffels
Baker - Thomas
Deegan - Bigi
McSheff - Bell
Platt - ROD
McDonald - Jeffers

Clingan and Craine will be worth penuts in Jan as they are out of contract in the summer..

They wont get 500k between them

Juke for 1million, leaves us with 1.5 million to get us to the end of the season without SISU having to dip into their pockets again, before they get rid of us in the summer in league one

I agree, been with the club since about '62 we've never been this disparate. I cannot see anything stopping us from relegation unless I win the Euro Million and put a few bob in to save us

Is this a fucking joke ?

Are we really gonna sell more players ?

How about getting shot of some of the monkeys upstairs trying to run the club.

I'd take that, but just cant see it !!

Thomas and Bigi will be gone, as will one or two of Clarke, Cameron and Christie.

If we start with ROD and Platt next season, I'm out !

I think i'd prefer to watch this team play in league one (with new owners) than what we have now. We might win a few games and gain some momentum!!!

Murphy
Clarke
Christie
Cameron
Hussey
Baker
Thomas
Bigi
McSheffrey
Cody
Platt

Platt is in his last year, McSheff is stalling over his offer, and I can see Thomas and Gael interesting bigger clubs.

Shit like this is why people are protesting today. This is just one in a long series of kicks in the teeth. Can we please start kicking up a bit more of a fuss at The Ricoh henceforth? It was starting to get to them, then we stopped..they aren't searching us anymore, I want to see 50-100 banners up there on Saturday!

If this story is true, it shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. It makes the contents of Iggy Oggy's recent open letter seem rather untrue, but I can't believe that anyone connected with SISU or the board would try to mislead the fans.

It just gets better and better, doesn't it?

Agreed Dorset...the reaction of "oh, so Igwe was lying again? Ah well, we kinda expected that.." is pretty much the norm now. Their default action is to lie.

Dont know why everyone is acting so shocked and surprised. I dont like the idea, infact I think it is ridiculous given the size and experience of our squad, but being realistic the bills have to be paid. SISU/Board said in 2010 accounts that paying the bills depended on player sales. It isnt a shock. Given falling crowds, the refusal to put more money in, no other assets to sell - what else is there to do? The survival of the club is most important, even if in Division 1. Plus importantly i would rather the club pay its way by doing this than it doesnt pay its bills and dozens of local businesses suffer or go out of business and have to lay employees off.

It is another nail in our team's coffin though. I certainly cannot disagree with fans voicing their annoyance & frustration either. But this is a covmad article not based on any quotes but stating the blindingly obvious given our present owners, it isnt however cast in stone to happen

just how low can the morale of our club go!

I'm going to try and not swear on my reaction to this latest news, here goes, i'm so fucked off again, i did try, these brain dead SISU lowlifes better fuck off soon or our/my club will be humiliated further, on and off the pitch.
If we're going down, let us go with some dignity SISU. If not teams like Watford Bristol City & Doncaster will be putting cricket score's past us as we slide with a record low score of points out of this division. How much lower do you want us to go, just leave now and do something you know what to do. This is my club your systematically destroying that has a very proud history, and the only idea you have is ask the fucking fans to put money into the club to finance it and buy players etc. Come on is this the height of your business acumen, to improve you must invest, invest equals improvement and a chance to get in the Prem where you can then actually make some money, surely you must know this.Thank fuck your not running the country, let alone managing and investing some peoples hard won money that you're supposed to be good at.
My two yaer old niece could run a better business than you lot, so admit to yourselves that you're imcompetant and that you've got this experiment woefully wrong, and go NOW.

Whether there is any eventual truth to the story, surely people aren't going to actually pay attention to one of the worst-written conjecture filled pieces of shit that site has ever put up (which is really saying something)

a huge thanks, you echo the thoughts of the majority of TRUE SKY BLUES, & so without a moments hesitancy i say, 'WELL SAID REV !!!!!!!'
for anyone who has doubts, google the monty python sketch about the 'cheese shop' & if the penny doesn't drop, i despair,
now let's get together as real & true CCFC people, & rid OUR club of this inept, dubious, questionable, untrustworthy, delusional, & ludicrous outfit,
sisu = 1 legged man in an arse kickin contest,
just in case anyone is querying or supporting their cause in any way,
'they don't give a flying f*ck for you' - only themselves,
whoever they are, because of course, they (owners), according to that 'orange' piece of work, want to remain anonymous,
the nauseous reek of excrement is almost overpowering,
get damian collins & crew involved,
get a petition started,
any legal persons, c'mon what can we do this lot for ?
anyone got a connection to a tabloid reporter to stitch this 'mob',

PUSB
