Jamaica 1-0 v Honduras

Latibeaudiere booked,
Palmer subbed (along with another Jamaican player) in 65th minute (so - hopefully - not an injury issue).

Good to see him getting a 'proper' game.

Half time: Jamaica 0-2 Haiti.

Haiti 2 up after 17 minutes with two quick counterattacks. Jamaica look toothless and idealess. Palmer been involved a fair amount but Haiti able to stop any through balls. Lati somewhat absent in this midfield role.

Unless the tactics change, can see Haiti ending with 3 or 4 goals and luck will need to play a part in Jamaica scoring.

Jamaica 1-2 Haiti

50 mins, Demarai Gray tries a shot through a crowded box and the ball deflects off a stretching Haiti boot and bounces in off the far post. Well, I did say Jamaica needed some luck for them to score.

73 mins: Jamaica make 3 substitutions

Lati comes off. Palmer still on the pitch.

78 mins: Another Jamaica sub and Palmer isn't given any rest.

80 Mins: Jamaica penalty. 2-2 Bobby Cordoba-Reid scores. Haiti handball in the penalty area given and no VAR to confirm though it did look borderline.

89 mins: Haiti player sent off, second yellow card. Not sure what part of Leon Bailey he supposedly stood on but the ref thought it warranted a card.

Bailey then fluffed the freekick and missed the penalty area entirely and couldn't be kept in on the opposite side of the pitch.

Final score: 2-2.

Palmer lasted the full 90 + 5 mins additional time. Didn't seem to pick up any injury but playing the full game may be too much for a start against Hull. Lati may be in a better spot to start.

They will not get back to the U.K. until Thursday PM so cannot see them making the subs bench.

Bench is one thing but making any significant impact on the game is another.

Grenada 1-4 Jamaica.

Lati started but was subbed at half time with the score 1-2 to Jamaica. Palmer not in the game squad.

Two outfield players with the surname Charles-Cook played for Grenada. Regan is a striker and the brother to Reice, our one time goalkeeper ? But Roman, who also plays in the UK as a defender for Dover Athletic, don't know if he's also a relation.

Can't link the game footage from Youtube as Concacaf have blocked it. But type in Y0utube.com and "/watch?v=BhydFFxUSVY&ab_channel=Concacaf" in your browser for the full game.

Haiti vs Jamaica

Latibeaudierre starts in midfield again for the Reggae Boyz.

15 mins, Haiti 1-0

17 mins, Jamaica 1-1 Demarai Gray

Considering the number of players on display who play in the English and European leagues, the quality is very lacklustre. It's like watching two park teams up the Memorial Park on a Sunday.

Half time : 1-1

Second half starts and Jamaica make 1 substitution but Lati stays on the pitch.

56 mins, Jamaica 2-1 Jamar Nicholson

Lati being used primarily as a holding midfielder, think I've only seen him forward of the centre circle on a few occasions. And he's protection for the single back defender at corners. Had a couple of forward runs in the first half, none of which created a solid attack. Defensively, he hasn't had that many touches of the ball. In fairness, Jamaica have all but qualified for the quarterfinals so they're just trying to avoid a loss.

65 mins Jamaica 3-1 Leon Bailey

78 mins, Jamaica make 2 subs, Lati leaves the field.

So after 45 mins on Friday and another 78 mins today, there should be enough recovery time for Lati to be ready for the Bristol City game on Saturday.

He's going to be such an important player for us I think. Already his versatility has proved invaluable.

On a side note I can't believe the song to the tune of 'Love is in the Air' hasn't got more traction.

maybe he'll get more games in midfield until Sheaf gets back up to speed? He looks quite solid in there, and could be useful on a quick transition

Just checked the next International Break fixtures and we may have missing players from Sky Blues games in November.

We are scheduled to play Stoke at home on the 11th of November but while it's another International break, Jamaica start a 3 game period with a game against Guatemala on the 13th Nov. They then face two games against Canada in the CONCACAF Nations League quarter final, with games planned for the 16th Nov and 20th Nov (to be confirmed). Coventry then return to action on the 25th Nov away to Millwall.

Lati is a regular starter for the national side so we can expect him to be absent from our side for Stoke. And the chances of Palmer being called up if fit are high. So we could be two players down for a tough game.

Ayari's travelling will be far less with the Swedish U21s next and only game being against Netherlands on the 20th Nov. If he's called up to the full squad, Sweden play Azerbaijan away on the 16th Nov and Estonia at home on the 20th. None of those games should impact his availability for Coventry, pending any injuries.

And for the USA, think we can be safe in the knowledge that Haji Wright isn't in the current thoughts of their manager. USMNT played Ghana today and won 4-0 in a friendly and Wright wasn't even in the squad. Think he's going to have to "haul ass" and net a dozen goals before he reappears on their international radar again.

Biggest miss will be the two Reggae Boys (I know folks here aren't happy with Palmer's recent efforts). Let's hope our crocked midfield are back in action by then.

Trying to keep this thread alive with news of our International starlets.

Lati played the full 90 minutes as Jamaica lost 2-1 to Canada in the first leg of their Quarter Final of the CONCACAF Nations League on Saturday 18/11. The second leg in Canada is Weds 22/11 at 00:30 UK Time.

Yasin Ayari started and played 62 minutes for Sweden U-21s against Finland U-21s on Thursday 16/11. Sweden won 3-1 and play again Monday 20/11 against Netherlands U-21.

Dasilva stayed on the bench as Wales drew 1-1 with Armenia, meaning they have to beat Turkey on Tuesday to stand a chance of progressing.

U18 GK Luis Lines kept a clean sheet in Wales U17 1-0 win over Belgium
