Hi All,

I was just wondering if you could update me on a number of players that I have thought have looked solid/good that do not seem to have featured much in pre-season.

Richard Wood - Always looked solid centre back when I have seen him, is he fit and if so do you think he should start next Saturday - personally I do.

Ben Turner - Is he still injured? Any idea when back?

James McPake - Ditto

Nathan Cameron - Is he out of favour or again coming back from injury?

Clive Platt - much maligned but did a job whenever I saw him scored nice goal against Bristol City last season. Is he just completely out of favour? I know our new style of play may not suit him but would still have him in side any day over Carl Baker for instance.

Thanks for any feedback - my team for Saturday if fit would be the following.

Murphy GK
Keogh RB
Hussey LB
Crainie CB
Wood CB
Clingan DCM
Bell RCM
McShef LCM
Biggy ACM
Juke CF
Platt CF

Subs: ROD, McPake, Baker, Dunn, Thomas

Cheers keeping everything crossed for next weekend.

:wave::welcome: To SBT.

Richard Wood - should be ready for Saturday he came on during the Norwich friendly.

Ben Turner - Injured but AT is hopeful - quote from AT
"Ben Turner is coming along well - he is running but has not been able to do any of the sharp football stuff yet because we don't want to take any chances."

He's come so far now that we want to get him absolutely right even if that takes a few extra days.

James McPake - I think he has a minor injury so AT didn't risk him for the Norwich game

Nathan Cameron - Not sure.

Clive Platt - Not sure. (possibly out of favor as he's more suited to hoof ball)

Platt was injured and against Leam looked ruddy atrocious. I think he may even be behind Wilson and Jeffers in the pecking order now. And that makes him pretty bad!

Wheras Deegans injury setback is a real blow, he was looking superb against Leamington. Stood out as being a class above.

I spoke to the Juke, eastwood and baker after yesterdays game, eastwood will almost certainly miss the start of the season with a hamstring injury, The juke said his muscles felt a bit tight so didn't wanna risk anything b4 next week and baker said as for the performance against norwich they were instructed to take it easy and treat it as a training session to try prevent further injuries or incidents

Oh and when I asked baker if he knew anything about signings he said the word round the dressing room was there could possibly be 1 or 2 new faces but no one knew anything for certain

I didn't realise Bell was injured too. When did this happen? How long is he out for?

Feedback

Cheers for warm elcome guys and feedback. I must admit nervous about first couple of games but even if we lose them don't think we should all say we're doomed!

Defenisvely I think we are still quite strong, midfield is ok but could be better, up front is a real worry though. Hopefully we can get one or two bodies in this week......we will see!

Cheers
