Burge - 7 - Didn't do anything wrong, took the ball out of the air a couple of times and no silly kicking
Grimmer - 7 - Better going forward today but had a tricky day with their winger and full back
Willis - 8 - Won near enough everything, put his body on the line and blocked and cleared everything
Davies - 8 - As Above, but should have done better with the header
Stokes - 7 - Forced their keeper into a save, like Grimmer had a tricky day due to their winger on the other side
DKE - 6 - Not his best game today, their 3 had him in his pocket most of the game but towards the end he got stuck into him a bit. Was never going to be able to muscle him
Doyle - 6 - Despite getting their player sent off, he gave the ball away a hell of a lot and some awful passing
Bayliss - 7 - He got forward really well today, only thing against the previous games was that he did get us in trouble a few times with crossfield balls that got intercepted.
Shipley - 6 - Wasn't his best game today either
Biamou - 6 - Would have been a 7 if he had headed the assist but didn't
McNulty - 8 - He is one step ahead most of the players, makes clever runs and a great finish. Could have had a couple more aside from good blocks and saves

Ponticelli - 6 - He did press well on their game, closed down the defenders and tried to cut out passes
Haynes - 5 - Didn't do much

Burge 7 - one very good save in the first half. Usual ropey kicking.
Grimmer 7 - Typical Grimmer performance - got forward well but really lacks a final ball.
Stokes 7 - Defended well, looked solid. Smashed the bar. Providing the back up to Doyle in the ' bollocking the ref' department.
Willis 8.5 - Looked like he was on the prowl today and he and Davies looked good together. +0.5 and MoM for playing with a dead leg.
Davies 8 - Won everything in the air and should have scored with his headed chance in the 2nd half.
Doyle 6.5 - Looked tired today and his passing was atrocious at times. Managed the ref well when things started getting silly and mopped up plenty of loose balls. Deserves a rest.
Bayliss 7.5 - Best of the midfield again today. Not phased by pro football in any way but lacks a little bit of end product to his marauding runs. If he can improve on that he's gonna be a very good player.
DKE 5.5 - Tries hard and got a big heart but I reallys struggle to see the qualities that will give him a long career in the FL. Needs pace or height to play wide or a better final ball to play centrally and hasn't got them.
Shipley 6 - Got up and down well but looked a little leggy today and Robins took him off at the right time. Some decent set pieces but a couple of wasted corners that looked like failed plans from the training ground.
Biamou 6 - Was ok first half but didn't look like he fancied it at all 2nd half after his knock to the head. Allows McNulty to find pockets of space by occupying the centre backs.
McNulty 8 - Scored a goal from nothing at a vital time and could have had a hattrick but for very good saves from their keeper.

Haynes 6.5 - looked ok at LM but had plenty of time and space
Ponticelli 6 - almost trying too hard. Reminds me of a dog down the park chasing the ball around. Needs to be in the right place to make his excellent runs and was out of position a couple of times having chased lost causes.

The pitch: 5 - god knows what it will look like by end of March

Hi all , I think we are blinded by the result , I thought Willis was our best player the rest were very very average ,
Max and dke omg ,
Worst away team in the league and they had double the amount of ball to us .
Love the result hated the game today ...

Wouldn't say they were the worst team at the Ricoh at all, they tried to play decent football.

Difficult to judge the goalkeeper/defence as they had little to do. Slight frustration in just booting it out.
Midfield always seems too deep and allowed a poor team to play. No real help for forwards until it got stretched at end.
McNulty looks good and could be excellent in a better team. Other strikers did very little.

Burge 7 - Steady game and handled well and kicked pretty well too.

Grimmer 6.5 - Beaten on a few occasions, but did get better as the game wore on and also helped out coming forwards

Davies 8 - Steady as a rock and calm on the ball.

Willis 8 - Thought he was excellent today and won pretty everything in the air.

Stokes 7 - Another steady and solid effort and he has now surely cemented that left back slot.

DKE 5 - Much improved in the second half, but really dire in the first. I have to say I just can't see him making it at this level unfortunately.

Doyle 5.5 - Below par performance from Doyle, but have scored him slightly higher for chasing anything and everything and for breaking up play.

Bayliss 8.5 - Sublime. Great feet, intelligent play and a threat coming forwards. What we have been crying out for all season.

Shipley 6 - Thought he was rather anonymous for the most part

Biamou 7 - Thought he led the line well today and showed some nice touches. He worked incredibly hard

McNulty 8 - Looked dangerous all game long and pretty much ran himself into the ground. At the end it looked like he was running through treacle, but still was our biggest threat.

Just wanted to add, the pitch made playing very difficult at times, for both sides.

Interesting the Telegraph gave DKE 8.5 along with Willis / Davies / Doyle / Bayliss and McNulty an 8, the same as Burge.

The Doyle one baffles me , very very sloppy at times

DKE tries but gives the ball away far far too often

Ahh, the old falling for the roll your sleeves up and try and fight for the ball even though you are lacking in quality.

I would have given DKE 3 for his first half performance and about 6.5 for his second half performance.

He lacks the tenacity of his brother and also his first initial thought is seemingly always to pass sideways and backwards and never forwards.

Some dreadful distribution from him too today.

8.5 is a joke.

Doyle was under par too and should not be awarded anymore than about 6.5 I would say.

Can't believe some of the ratings for Biamou. Rightfully got a standing ovation from most of the fans today for his workrate and general play.

Whole team were pretty average though, Bayliss was superb and McNulty had another very good game.

The difference here ref Biamou is that he does not have to win his place on the team sheet , he is included as there is no one else . I would call him lucky to be playing , we are desperate more than ever for another goal scorer and as soon as one comes along Max will be back to peeling oranges ,

If he plays against Stoke I fear he could get seriously injured with the speed of play , I am being serious

Don't buy that argument at all, cos I am sure there are many others like me who are not that big of fans of Biamou anyway.

We just appreciate contribution to a performance when we see it and for me Biamou very clearly contributed today.

Yet he has been starting ahead of Nazon, Beavon, Ponticelli and K Thomas. I have no doubt that if we can bring someone better in, he will be on the bench but Robins keeps picking him as he is adding something to the team, his being a decent foil for McNulty, not because there is no one else.

Don’t really want to go through that list of players as it’s self explanatory and also backs up what I posted

McNulty benefits incredibly from Biamou, which is why I'm not surprised that he has started scoring so many goals in recent weeks.

Biamou works hard seems to be the argument .

Well Marc mcnulty puts himself about far more than max , biamou appears often static ,I caught him today standing still watching the match whilst putting in zero effort to get into the space to receive the ball if it was cleared . there was a pass he made to mcnulty and he started to run off him and just stopped ,which I genuinely found bizarre .
Almost as bizarre as his standing ovation , bear in mind this is the fanbase that booed off players with genuine quality like Jacob Murphy so it’s hardly surprising .
He wins headers here and there but offers next to nothing , we looked more dangerous going forward when he went OFF.
With max it’s often like playing with 10 men and at some point his drought is going to have to cost him his place in the side .
No other city player in history has ever been given such an easy ride for being so poor for so long

People gave Jacob Murphy stick because for far too many games he didn't put in the effort.

Mate he scored 10 and assisted 10 .
Genuine quality from a wide man

Biamou has absolutely no quality that we need , not one and I’m confident he will score less than 5 all season.

Mcnulty doesn’t feed off biamou I have No clue where this comes from , his best chances today other than his goal came from bayliss

Exactly. Quite clear we are better side for McNulty's benefit when Biamou is included.

No-one would be happier than me if we could bring someone of better quality than Biamou in, but at the moment, with what we've got, he's the best option and McNulty IS benefitting from Biamou playing alongside him.

Biamou, davies, willis, bayliss, mcnulty were all brill.

Doyles passing was abysmal, grimmer all round was shocking. Shipley looked tired and slow to react.

Kelly evans grew into game well but was a mismatch vs their number 3. Ponticelli looked lively
