Burge - 7 thought he did ok, one cross he didn’t come for
Grimmer - 6 better second half but keeps standing off when defending and hardly ever stops the cross
Stokes - 6 better defensively than Haynes but legs gone somewhat
Willis - 6.5 battled really hard but woeful passing
McDonald - 6 as bad as the others at the back first half
Doyle - 6.5 does what Doyle does
BAYLiss -7 the only one who looked to run with the ball
Vincente - 5 no idea what he gives
Shipley - 6.5 dead ball delivery excellent
McNulty - 6 took goal well but lots of bad shots and misses
Biamou - 7 as a player, 3 as a striker. Overall 6. 3 very easy chances

Davies - 7 excellent half!
Dke - na
Nazon - 5.5 just shoot

Burge - 7 - One of his better games, kept us in it in the first half but I did shit myself in the second when he came out and headed it over their player. Decent kicking too.
Grimmer - 6 - Got forward well
Stokes - 7 - I thought he had a pretty good game, for somebody more defensive he put some crosses in that Haynes could dream of.
Willis - 5 - Not his best game, had his pants pulled down all first half
McDonald - 5 - Same as Willis, they couldn't handle their strikers
Doyle - 6 - Didn't really do much either way, here nor there. Had a tussle with their 7 early on then their number 7 kept snapping him, would have been OK if he got sent off but he wasn't.
Bayliss -7 - Refreshing to see a midfielder want to carry the ball forward rather than stand still looking for a pass, it was his first game so a couple of wrong decisions but
Vincente - 6 - Didnt think he was that bad, tracked back, tackled and got stuck in. A few good passes to create counter attacks too.
Shipley - 5 - Wasn't his best game, a lot of wrong decisions made but again he is still only young.
McNulty - 7 - Can tell he is a good player, has a great touch and also very clever. Sometimes he snatches as shots rather than taking his time, it's as if he is the opposite of Biamou where when he gets time he can finish but quick play he isn't as good.
Biamou - 6 - Baffles me, he just needs to score. Works hard and chased down a lot, at one point he was just outside our box chasing the ball down.

Davies - 7 - Completely changed the game, their Rob Beckett striker didn't get a sniff. Can see him being used to mark Akinfenwa next week.
Dke - Cant really rate him, ran about a lot chasing them down
Nazon - 6 - Extra point for the assist, stood about with his arms in the air for most of it. He lost the ball twice and just stood there while they broke.

Who would your number one CB pairing be with the options in our squad?

For next week or in general?

I think it depends on the opposition, when they have big target men Davies has shown he can deal with them better. Only thing is that he is left sided the same as McDonald so it means usually he will be with Willis.

Burge - 7. A few dodgy moments, but some very good saves too.

Grimmer - 5. Made a number of errors today and looked suspect and in the first half he set up a very clear chance on goal for the opposition in the 6 yard box.

Willis - 6. Better second half, but both him and McDonald were all at sea in the first half.

McDonald - 5.5. Same as Willis, though he did make a couple of very important interceptions in that first 45 mins.

Stokes - 7. I thought he played well and made a big difference. Much needed improvement on Haynes.

Vincenti - 6.6. Thought he worked his socks off, got in good positions, won lots of headers and made some good tackles too. Yep, some errors, but the positive contributions outnumbered the errors.

Doyle - 6. Typical Doyle performance and a bit all over the place, some good stuff, some bad.

Bayliss - 6. Very tricky debut for the lad. Showed some great little touches, but also lost possession too easily and twice we could have been caught on the break and have had it prove costly when he was robbed of the ball!

Shipley - 6.5 . Quite an encouraging performance from him today and some lovely touches along with the great delivery from dead ball situations.

McNulty - 7. Strange one, because his all round game was good and he got in some excellent positions, yet his finishing on the whole was very poor and even for his goal his first touch was very heavy and he nearly fluffed the chance.

Biamou - 6.5. Another player who worked so, so hard. He does need to score though. So frustrating that he can't finish and for me that pen decision was clearly not a pen. He should have scored and if he hadn't have gone down too easily he surely would have.

Davies - 7. Thought he was excellent when he came on. Steadied the ship.

Burge - 7.5 - Some very decent saves. Tie between him and Davies for MOTM for me
Grimmer - 5.5 - Looked dodgy today and not his finest hour
Stokes - 6 - decent crosses but done for pace. Solid
Willis - 6 - 150th appearance, but not in his top 10 !
McDonald - 6 - Not his best CCFC performance
Doyle - 7 - Typical Doyle.
Bayliss -6.5 - Decent debut. GOAL
Vincente - 6.5- Like CWR said "out right isn't his best position"
Shipley - 5 .5- Poor today, but he's a kid and this will happen
McNulty - 7.5 - Always shows and doesn't hide. GOAL
Biamou - 6.5 - That's 18 league games without a goal. He needs to get one soon
Davies - 7.5 - Looked solid
Dion KE - 6 - Did nothing wrong or right
Nazon - 7 - looks like he can cause problems. ASSIST

Difficult one today, Doyle having to cover for kids in midfield although of the kids in midfield Bayliss edged it for me as the better of the 2 good to get on the scoresheet too. Biamou battled well but with 2 strikers, 1 with shocking finishing and 1 with no apparent finishing it makes life difficult for the team, defence was pretty dreadful 1st half their strikers playing quick one two's around our defence at will but hey a wins a win so another game ticked off for the impending January window to open

Il kick this off.

Much needed win.

Burge 7.....one great save first half, loses a point for his kicking/distribution.
MCDonald.. 5.....very poor first half could not get near his striker all half.
Willis......8....Simply Brilliant,
Grimmer...6....Average
Stokes.....7...Great to see him back, needed him today vs big physical team.
Shipley....7...Some good touches. Solid.
Bayliss....8..my motm. Outstanding debut. Looked a cut above anything else on the pitch. More impressive comsidering how physical they were, could have had a penalty too.
Doyle 7....back to what he does best, breaking up play and picking up the pieces.
Vincenti...7...thought he had one of his better games.
McNulty...7...Thank god he scored, as he did waste a few chances none of his attempts made keeper work or were on target.
Biamou 6....Superb work rate, max effort, lacking confidence in front goal should npt have been looking for penalty as he had a good goalscoring opportunity.

Davies...8...Superb when he came on.
Nazon...6 still frustrates, still loks greedy, still doesnt work hard enough for me.

MR ...8.....Well done on giving Bayliss debut ahead of Stevenson

Burge 7 Some good saves in the 1st half.
Grimmer 5 not one of his better games.
Willis 5 got the runaround particularly first half.
McDonald 5 not as bad as Willis but loses a point for the goal.
Stokes 6 more solid with him in the team and got forward delivering crosses too, would have got 7 but for the mix up with McDonald for the goal.
Bayliss 7 goal on your debut and did more in 1 game going forward than Stevenson has all season.
Doyle 7 held it together in the middle-routine Doyle type of performance.
Vincenti 7 thought he was decent-didn't understand the ironic substitute cheers.
Shipley 5 some dangerous deliveries but not much else.
Biamou 6 worked hard, won headers, point off though for that miss and flinging himself down trying to get a penalty when he should have shot.
McNulty 8 Great game from him, had plenty of chances and maybe got out of jail at the end with a great finish when the touch was awful. Some clever play/link ups also. Not sure what the shhhh was all about though when he scored.
Duck 6 20 mins on and gets an assist.
Davis 7 big tower of strength when he came on and mopped up at the back.
DKE 5 just for being on the winning team.

Mcnulty....... I don't mind him missing a few as long as he sticks one away. More than happy to put my hands up if this continues.
Also fully expect him to continue to receive more and more through balls now he is proving he can finish. Happy days.
Vital result today, if we remain 4-6 points off by January when the reinforcements come then we have a chance.
Don't have an issue with Willis getting sold if a decent offer comes in to fund the revolution.

Willis was awful in the first half along with McDonald and Grimmer, and yes i get that the defence was all over the place due to the lack of midfield.

That McNulty comment is wrong unfortunately. Their keeper made a brilliant save from one of his shots in the 6 yard box in the second half.

Couldn’t work out first half if Willis was constantly out of position and just about recovering or whether he was making important interceptions (mainly with his head) covering rod or grimmer.
And would agree with Baylis as motm...full debut, goal, good positioning and not afraid to hang on to the ball when needed. Yes a couple poor decisions but very impressive

I stand corrected apart trom the one first minute.

But te other 6/7 shots from decent chances was criminal not to even get one target. Very very frustrating to see him blaze over time and again.

Got lucky woth the goal too. I thought he fluffed it with a heavy touch..keeper hesitated (should have come out). But fair play just ehen i thought he fucked up another chance he chipped him.

The snap shot goal vs Crawley was a cracking goal, which why im very dissapointed he didnt get those shots on target blazed over 2/3 times.

Keepers at this level make alot of mistakes, see them every week in the highlights. Make the keepers work!

Willis had by far the tpughest job marking Eisa(top player). MCDonald had the easier job marking the donkey whom he couldnt get near. Davies showed him how its done 2nd half.

Strange how lots have marked Willis in their top 3/4 players today?

It's a tricky one today though, because there was a stark contrast between the first and the second halves. Willis was much, much better in the second half.
