Burge 6. One good punch, but kicking was poor.

Grimmer 7. Most potent attacking threat in that second half.

Willis 6. Steady.

McDonald. 6. Ditto.

Haynes 6. Bit hit and miss and lost possession a few times, but did put some quality balls in.

Jones. Started very brightly. Off too early to score him.

Kelly 6. Pretty steady performance from him.

Doyle. 5. Some poor distribution and gave any needless freekicks.

McNulty. 5. Anonymous on the wing and did nothing. Should have scored with the chance in the second half.

Beavon 6. Looked bright and some nice layoffs, but did fade out of the game in the second half.

Nazon. 6. Wanted to dribble through the entire Colchester backline once too often.

Shipley. 6. Has a very good cross on him, but some of his passing was very wasteful.

Thought that Vincente coming on helped Grimmer put the ball across - should have been earlier

Nope, Robins figured playing a teenage central midfielder out wide would work better

Had a bit of hope for the last few minutes when it went to ten v ten.

From that you may seduce my mark for McNulty

Burge 7 - not much to do
Grimmer 7 - gets forward well but often loses the ball
Willis 7 - solid
McDonald - solid
Haynes 7 - better attacking option than Stokes has been
Kelly 7 - ran around a lot but not highly effective
Doyle 6 - relatively quiet
Jones NA - wasn't playing well but not on long enough to get a rating
McNulty 0 - offered nothing so gets a score of zero. Like Micky Adams said, McNulty is hiding from the ball.
Nazon 6 - tried hard but ultimately it didn't help
Beavon 2 - a few tidy layoffs but otherwise offered nothing. It's hard to see him or McNulty ever getting a goal.

Shipley 6 - ok
Vincenti 5 - offered some height but that was it

Robins 2 - Doesn't seem to recognize the key problem as he is still saying that we are "snatching" at our shots. It's not even as good as that. Our main problem is that Beavon and McNulty are practically invisible every time we attack. Seems very stubborn about not putting Ponticelli on the pitch. Don't name him as a fucking substitute if you think he is not ready, FFS. If things don't improve Robins will have to go.

So McNulty gets a 2 (a previous poster gave him zero), Nazon 3 and Beavon 3, but Ponticelli is 'not ready' to replace them.

When the standard is so bad how can he be any worse? There can be no more of this not ready nonsense. Give him a try, he literally can do no worse.

Burge 6 little do but still needs to improve distribution
Grimmer 6 needs to improve final ball
Haynes 7 added pace to the side where stokes has struggled and had a decent effort but should hav3 scored from the corner
Macdonald 6 little to do
Willis 6 as above
Kelly 4 slows the play too much and pass the bloody thing forwards sometimes
Doyle 4 as above
Jones 4 little chance before being kick out of it
Nazon 3 greedy and looks a bit tired
McNulty 1 for getting his kit on correctly terrible performance again
Beavon 2 pathetic offers little and is scared to go in the box even for corners he doesn’t go in hasnt scored for months and I don’t think he will this season pay him off and get rid

Shipley 3 another one off the production line that looks way off needs to improve or non league it will be
Vincenti 3 offers little and no pace
Ponticelli 5 for getting his shirt on quickly and then having to sit and watch McNulty miss chances

Somebody tell the subs to be dressed it took minutes to get Shipley ready while he put on his bra and shirt all the time we had ten men

If he's not ready he shouldn't be on the bench.
