Great alround performance yesterday, have to say really impressed with the style of play and commitment of the players. Difficult to pickout a standout performance as everybody did their job well.

MOTM the fans, great noise throughout the game drowning out Millwall fans negating their intiminating atmosphere

Just sometimes, its so so good to be a city supporter and have the chance to look down on everyother team in the league . Enjoy it, don't go overboard as bogie tean Crewe are coming Tuesday, just hope the performance is as good as today.

Bogey teams? Pah!! That was pre Mowbray!

Now confident we can beat Crewe. Even a draw though would still represent a fabulous start to the campaign you'd have to say.

Was so pleased for Lameiras grabbing his goal, you could see it meant so much to him as he celebrated.

Missing that penalty could've sent him 2 ways. Thankfully he's forgotten it already and responded in the best way possible. A great signing so far, a little magician.

Absolutely,he's going g to be a gem for us
Think there will be some friendly fierce competition between him and Maddison to see who ends the season top dog.

Most will know I'm not Burge's biggest fan, and the penalty he gave away was all of his own doing, but what a save from the resulting spot kick! Credit where it's due, I'll give him that one.

I wonder if Reda will be rested on Tuesday and make way for Martin to make sure he gets through the season?

Is Burge now worthy of a 6?

Jesus. 7s across the back four for a clean sheet, and an 8 for Armstrong for two goals, one being a 40 yard chip? Vincelot looked solid.
I'd love to see what a 10 out of 10 is in your book

Yep, what's wrong with a 7?

Armstrong apart from his two goals didn't do an awful lot, hence why he only gets an 8.

Burge - 7 got better, but always a bit worried about the mistakes.
Willis - 8 looked solid...much better.
Johnson - 8 looks steadier alongside Ricketts. Should have scored with a free header
Ricketts - 8.5 class and experience shows
Stokes - 8 lacks a bit of pace but always seems to get a toe in when he looks beaten
Vincelot - 8.5 been lacking this type of player for years. Does the dirty work so well to free up Fleck
Fleck - 9 MOTM ran the show simple!
Lameiras - 8.5 needs to bulk up a bit, but so impressive on the ball.
Maddison - 8 some great touches - starting to link up well with others
O'Brien - 8.5 covered every blade of grass. Never stopped running - nice finish
Armstrong - 8.5 very raw but massive potential- fearless and two class goals

Murphy - 7.5
Tudgay - 8
Thomas - 6

He's a striker and scored two great goals. What else do you expect from him? :thinking about:

There's more to football than scoring goals. Other than scoring his level was about a 6/10, but the two goals boost him to an 8.

Thought his assist for Armstrongs 2nd goal was absolute class...

Only just calmed down..

Burge - 8 - he does worry me but a pen save and generally solid
Willis - 9 - top draw for me, defensively superb. won us goal kicks with some of his tackles when others would give a corner away, thought that was clever
Ricketts - 8 - looks to be very solid and tidy on the ball
Johnson - 9 - dominated them aerially, as good a defender as you'll see in this league
Stokes - 7 - seems a harsh rating for what was a good performance, but I felt the odd time they got in was on his side of the pitch
Vincelot - 8 - love him, great signing and top performance
Fleck - 9 - class from him yesterday, sprayed the passes perfectly allowing us to open them up, also tidy in close quarters and kept the ball nicely
Maddison - 8 - what a talent, his balance and first touch are very special, will be important for us this season, hope he can last it physically
Lameiras- 9 - for me he was our best player yesterday, bags of talent, and millwall couldn't live with him
JOB - 8 - great performance, and very well taken goal
Armstrong - 9 - such a threat, with lameiras and maddison he'll get plenty more chances as well

Overall delighted with the performance!

I don't know what was better; Armstrong realizing he was off, getting back onside and then timing his 2nd run perfectly, or Lameiras delaying the pass until he realized. Either way, it was absolutely brilliant. The front 4 have been a joy to watch so far.

For me it's where we have a back 4, two deep lying midfielders to control the tempo and the other 4 are left to attack as a unit when we have the ball. Without it they have to drop back and make us 4-4-2 or 4-5-1. Good teams like Barca do this play possession football and leave messi, the nibbler and Naymar to win them games.
