Sheaf was decent.

Eccles shouldn't be rwb so we need a backup.

Wright was making so many runs but nobody looked up

Did ok without really looking very threatening. Crap game tbh, possibly a nod to tactics from the managers.

I thought Sheaf went missing a lot today. Not sure where the man of the match stuff is coming from. He was alright. Better than Leicester, but not as good as Middlesbrough.

Thought Godden worked very hard and would give him MOTM. Da Silva, Lati, a bit suspect. The rest of the team just average really.

Will take a point. Win our next home game and it looks good!

Wilson 7

Good distribution on the whole. Gets around the box quick. All ok.

Thomas 6

Big player that gets about and good that he’s willing to get forward but a couple of daft fouls and runs that left us short at the back. Settled in ok though and seems decent overall.

Fadz 7

Good, assured, solid. Wrap him up in cotton wool between games now.

Latti 6

Did he fall out with his ex team mates or something which made him leave? Bit of spice there. Ok.

MVE 6

Had big hopes and today he did ok and seemed to be settling in. Injured? Edit: toe. He’ll be ok.

DaSilva 6

7 but for his error for the goal. He fits our style of play better than Bidwell. Seems eager and committed . I rate him.

Eccles 6

Just ok. That he’s our main set piece taker now is a quandary. Young, learning, getting better.

Sheaf 6

He should be our main creator now. Caught in possession too often with their press. Needs to get the confidence to hit things early.

Tats 7

He’ll be a great player. Needs to have some time to get used to the physical side of tier 2 English football.

Godden 7

Took his goal. Trying to play as a pressing striker - which he isn’t- but he’s putting the effort in.

Wright 6

Needs some time. Got talent but very raw.

Subs

Kelly 6

Steady

Sims 6

Needs confidence.

Yeah Sheaf was good but wasn’t at his best. To be fair I feel as if we are relying on him an awful lot now. Saka man of the match. Finds space and looks to create. Needs to get used to our strikers.

I think Wilson slows us down too much and you can see why Robins went for Collins.. I think he fits how Robins wants to play

This is way off. It's getting boring this Sheaf love in. "Best CDM in the league" nonsense. He's a decent player but why do people elevate him beyond what he is which a good but not great Championship midfielder. We need better than what we have.

Nothing wrong with praising a player. He’s consistently been a very good player in his position. Who should we sign that’s a better championship midfielder than Sheaf? You can’t make a statement then not name any players

I thought that MVE showed improvement today in starting to understand what is required of him. Can see him being a major player in the second half of the season

MVE is starting to look pretty good , when he's used to his new teammates and understands more what's required of him tactically , he will be an absolutely great signing

I think he’s going to be some player.

I thought we looked good. Dominated a decent side away from home. The 2nd half was more difficult because they dropped back a bit.

Thought we were the better side today and probably should have won. Wilson good. All the Swansea talk before the match was the brilliance of Patino who didn't get a kick against Milan who was very good. Think there is more to come from him going forward. Back three fine, although again they got in four free crosses from our left in the first half, one resulting in a goal. Fortunately, the other crosses were pants. Thomas lost concentration in the last five minutes and gave the ball away cheaply. Midfield ok although I thought Eccles had one of his quieter games. Sako was brilliant in the first half until Swansea gave him some rough treatment and he looked a little lightweight. Wright had bad luck then faded. Godden business as usual. Simms still finding his feet. Needs to use his height and size better especially when he comes on as a sub when the opposition are tiring. Kelly good. Need to turn our dominance into wins.

Eccles deliveries from Corners/set pieces though are an absolute shambles. He floats them in and are zero threat.

He was finally taken off them for Da Silva for the final corner, but we need to find a new set piece taker

We seem a little better with throw ins with JDS and MVE.

Historically we’d turn over possession a lot from not being able to throw the ball to one of our own players.

Today we seemed quick to it and a bit more incisive.

Just a small observation on the positive side.

I guess it makes sense having a 5ft 4 player (JDS) take a set piece and a taller player in the box if nothing else for the aerial option.

The only issue is if it’s a wide defender from the opposite side - vulnerability on the break.

Yes much, much better today. I'd still like to see him knock it past his man more often rather than take the safe option of passing back, but that will come with more confidence I think.

Ref=0; ball carried out of play a few times by Swansea but ref didn’t see; even occurred in the build up to their goal. Dubious calls in favor of the home side. Strange gosl kick awarded to Swansea when we should have had a corner or free kick when Saka went down.

Thought fadz was MOTM , Eccles played well apart from his dire corners as did Latibeaudiere..

Sheaf for me was too sloppy to be MOTM so I'm struggling with why he's getting it from so many people , he played pretty well but wasn't his usual excellent self

Wright played OK with godden

Fadz loses a point or half point for the goal though, he was miles off Yates

But otherwise yes he played really well

Not sure it's fadz fault but in general just a poor goal to concede

Da silva got caught napping and then couldn’t prevent the cross - we were stretched and back tracking as the ball came in

Cluster of players/goalie at the nearpost as well ,well taken goal but probably poor from the entire team.

Yates made a really good near post run so very unfair to blame Fadz in my opinion. Da Silva was caught napping though by a long ball behind him, and even when their wide player slowed up allowing him to put a challenge in he failed to do so. Apart from that I thought Da Silva played ok so no point being too hard on him either.
