We deserved fuck all from that game.

Hopefully it will stop the "we miss dabo" stuff too.

Hamer was not brilliant. Gave far too many balls away, as did most of the team, including the ridiculous pass inside straight to their player that led to the goal

Hopefully he brings an attacker on a lot earlier too than when he did and not a left back

I thought we were under par today, too many looked tired.
Moore was outstanding, and Tavares took his goal brilliantly.
Everyone else was a 6 at best.

Moore 8

Some great saves. Conceded against a pen but no real complaints

Kane 6

So so from Todd.

Hyam 7

Did ok

Rose 7

Same

JCS 6

Quiet

Maatsen 7

Some nice touches

Sheaf 7

Getting better

Hamer 7

Loses a mark for a silly yellow. Looked sparky.

Waghorn 5

Can’t be arsed to review.

Gyok 6

Battled.

O Hare 8

Great movement and effort.

Subs

Dabo 5

Got caught wrongside & off

Bidwell 6

Can’t remember seeing much of him. Thought Shipley was stripped to come on.

Tavares 9

High mark for 5 mins but hey, boy did good.

Sheaf & Moore immense - toss up between those two for MOTM

Hamer - Decent but still gave the ball away a lot.

Bidwell - I thought looked a lot more solid defensively & going forward.

O’Hare - Abysmal, worst game in a City shirt I thought. Instantly looked better after he went off. Hopefully a few games on the bench now.

Oh and Tavares… sublime finish. Sort of thing we’ve been missing all season. Hopefully he gets at least 20 next game.

Tavares showed us how important it is to have end product. Did more than Waghorn and O'Hare in 3 minutes than they did in the whole match.

Still wouldn't start him just yet but he definitely has to have more game time. Finishing like that. Wow.

Moore - couple of important saves, dodnt do a lot wrong apart from couple of distribution cock ups

CBs - all fairly solid, JCS prob the best of them, but still think Fadz adds general defensive organisation

Maatsen - did better once pushed forwards again, bidwell did well when came on, one great block

Kane looked fine defensively but didn't add anything going forwards, thought dabo would fix that but he was the complete opposite, liability at the back, and no excuse for pen and red

Hamer and Sheaf both ok, both had good and bad spells, neither really stood out much, but we were better than them in MF.

O'Hare needs a rest, poor game, was annoyed with him until about 70minutes when he started getting kicked about then felt sorry for him

Waghorn, had to do more with his chance, not sure we'll see him start for a while

gyok relatively quiet game

Tavares incredible finish

Best of it is he can't remember and has now edited it from Shipley to Bidwell but increased the mark to 6 not that some score blindly on their opinions or anything ...

Moore was good, the rest of them Sheaf Hamer ohare all decent without real threat. Vik ran his socks off, waghorn not so good and Fanky let us down (although everyone backing off and not clobbering him in midfield wasn't ideal). Defended ok againsy a big Preston side for most of it. Their fans singing for Evans leaves a sour taste but not much worse than ours for Marlon I guess.

Moore 7

Hyam 6
Rose 6
JCS 6

Kane 6
Hamer 6
Sheaf 8 MOTM Just outstanding in the first half
Maatsen 7 Much less effective in AM today

O’Hare 7 Preston knew they had to kick him to keep us quiet and boy, did they do that

Waghorn 5 Doesn’t seen to be on the same wavelength as anyone. Wouldn’t care if he never played for us again
Gyokeres 7 Such a beast against an incredibly physical back line

Bidwell 6
Dabo 4 Took a heavy knock and was disastrous thereafter
Tavares 7 Tikaboo, son!

Too much shadow boxing in attacking areas.

Finally someone landed a punch!

Yeah, I mean a goal every 7 mins is about 10-12 goals max as I doubt he'd play the fulll 90...

Tough day at the office; Preston are a very well organised team and Evans caused us lots of problems up-front.

Just my thoughts:
-we always look better with McFadz in our 3
-we're best with one up front and Hamer is at his very best in a true midfield 3. Hamer, Allen and Maatsen worked brilliantly last time out.
-Dabo always looks rusty after a long lay off, no need to write him off....he has plenty to offer
-we've taken 10 points out of the last 15
-3 of the teams above us lost today
-this is a record season of dramatic late late equalisers and winners and I'm fucking loving it
-always brilliant to see a youth player step up and what a way to score your first goal - will live in the memory for a long time
-onto the next in this amazing season

Simon Moore easily man-of-the match thought this was a 5/6 out of 10 performance all round for the outfield players personally I would make JCS just about a 7.

Last season you informed us that "not a single one of us would care" if Vik didn't play for us again. Can I suggest you're a bit too quick to write people off?

Sheaf motm with JCS and Moore both deserving mentions. Think Vik needs a weeks rest as he looked shattered all second half.
And of course that special couple minutes from Tavares…thought he hadn’t created the space to shoot and then…the crowd just erupted.

Haha did I say that? Strong research. I definitely didn’t see him turning into this kind of player. Not sure many did.

Didn’t need research, I remembered it because you claimed you were speaking for everyone, but (along with a few others) I could see the value of Gyok even then. Anyway, glad you like him now
