Marosi - 6. He’s good on the ball, but that type of play terrifies me. Was commanding, was a bit flat footed for the 1st.

Dabo - 6, Solid today, has rebounded from last week,
Rose - 6, thought he was at fault for the second, very weak to fall down. Otherwise good on the ball
McFadzean - 7 passed the ball well, and was talkative I really like him,

McCallum - 6.

Walsh 8- grew into the game, played well

Shipley - 6

Westbrooke - 6

Jobello - 7, took his goal well - played better than usual,

Hiwula - 7, was unlucky for the disallowed goal and did well for Jobellos goal.

Godden - 7 - 1 chance created for him 1 goal, is a class act. Needs better service

O’Hare - 7 - looks class. Needs to be starting

Kastaneer - 5, should have put us top with the that last chance

Hyam - don’t recall him having to do anything

Overall - we started poorly but grew into it after 20 mins. Was a good result

Marosi-7 Distribution is excellent, sometimes holds on for too long but mostly got it right today.
Dabo-6 Probably a confidence player, he was ok going forward but seems to be a red card waiting to happen.
Rose-7 Solid, goes about his business quietly but also effectively. Should’ve scored though.
McFadzean-7 Same as Rose. Thought he had a tough time of it early on but dealt with their forwards better later on in the game.
McCallum-7 Got targeted early on but got better as the game went on. One for the future for sure.
Walsh-7.5 Slow start but bossed the game second half, you can see he’s probably got the ability to play higher. Not afraid to get stuck in either.
Shipley-6.5 He was ok, nothing great but nothing bad either. Tried to be positive. He always seems to be knackered after 60 mins, either that or he’s one of the slowest players I’ve seen.
Westbrooke-5 That’s generous. Completely anonymous, he’s so lightweight and his decision making is poor in and around the box. O’Hare in next game.
Jobello-6.5 Get's an extra half point for the goal, some moments of flare but on the whole nothing too special. He’s a lot slower than I thought he’d be, can’t seem to beat his man for pace.
Godden-7 Exactly the striker we need, even if he has a quiet game he still ends up scoring. Not just his goals, his link up play is also first class.
Hiwula-7 One of his good games. Was more involved and ran himself into the ground. Unfortunately that tends to mean next game he’ll have a stinker.

Subs:
O’Hare-7 A constant goal threat and must start the next game, he’s everything Westbrooke isn’t. He can run with the ball, pick a pass, score goals. Enobakhare 2.0.
Kastaneer-N/A Should’ve scored. Get the feeling he’s going to be frustrating.

Great debut from Walsh once he settled, I have been critical of Shipley lately but today he was a lot better, O'Hare is settling in nicely scoring vital goals atm great to see our midfield chipping in with goals, Jobello much better today as he is settling into English football, Goddens a gooden as some people like to call him, great oportunistic finish from him, I thought Sam played much better at left back today too considering his age his confidence seemed to grow, I don't think Westbrooke was as bad as some are making out but for a great battling team performance and coming back from an iffy start I will give it 8
We are equal top atm long may it continue

Marosi 7 gives us an option to go back and retain possession. Commanding.
Dabo 7 high energy, solid defensively
Mcfadz 7 good assist to change up the slow passing
Rose 7 solid and I like his forays forward
McCallum 6 always available but still naive at times
Walsh 6 started by giving away every long pass but much better second half
Shipley 7 always tries to be positive
Westbrooke 6 nearly a 7 but sometimes the clever passes didnt work
Jobello 7 very weak at times but makes the pitch wide and technically good. Should not try and run past people bigger or faster than him.
Hiwulla 7 wasnt involved much but two assists
Gooden 7 hard working reminds me of vardy without the pace

O hare 7 very good player, great feet

Can’t believe Walsh graded so low in comparison to others. For the last 50 minutes of the game he bossed everything. Agree it took him some time to settle but you can clearly see both he and O’Hare are a level above most of our players.

Judging by the reaction on here he has impressed. I think I became too fixated on him giving the ball away several times in key areas early on and like all good cov fans I wrote him off.

Agreed.
Just not sure how to fit in the 3 above + O’Hare?

Possible team when everyone is fit?

Marosi
Dabo - McFaz - Hyam - Mason
Allen Kelly Walsh
O’Hare Godden Jones

Pretty harsh on Hiwula/Shipley and Jobello to be left out.

Nice to have this problem though - for the last couple of years the team has picked itself.

I liked Walsh, in the first half he made some poor passes, but he never stopped wanting the ball, really good give and get back. The way Marosi plays out seems integral to the way we play. Great to watch, very clever. I think Westbrooke is a clever footballer, and helped us to control the midfield in the second half. I see that McCallum has had a couple of negatives on other threads, for an 18 year old boy, I thought he did really well, their forward line was a handful, particularly in the first half.

O'Hare has Luke Thomas’ work rate, and is technically very good. Great to have him, needs to start next week.
Walsh was ok in first half, good in second half.
Kastaneer missed when through on goal but then decided to shoot weakly from outside the box which was very stupid, allowing Blackpool to get it forward. He doesn’t seem very intelligent.

Not saying that most of the best players are intelligent but most just do it naturally, that's why they play Championship, Premier League. Kast is in his first few weeks in a new league, new team, new players and new country new home/hotel, most players take time to settle it, he has all that to deal with. Not saying he will he a world beater but give the guy time ffs

Marosi 7 - Coolest man in the whole stadium, excellent distribution, never flustered & enables us to play our style from the back.

Dabo 7 - Defended well & offered support going forward too.
McFadzean 7 - Won most of his aerial duels, brought the ball out from defence & importantly led the team in Kelly's absence.
Rose 6 - A little naive for their 2nd. Should have just put his body in the attackers path rather than allowing him through & making a last ditch challenge. Could have done better with his chance too but passing is superb for a L1 centre back. Can certainly see why he has sneaked ahead of Hyam.
McCallum 7 - Improving all the time. Grown in confidence when in possession.

Westbrooke 6 - Some lovely little touches but didn't impact the game too much. Surprised he wasn't on set pieces.
Walsh 8 (MOTM) - Started slowly admittedly but took control of the game second half. A class act.
Shipley 6 - Some good, some bad. Can see why he divides opinion but useful player.

Jobello 6.5 - Flitted in & out of the game, struggled to beat his man and real mixed bag with his crossing. Took his goal superbly though.
Godden 7.5 - Doesn't stop working & makes very intelligent runs. Linked up well & can score out of seemingly nothing.
Hiwula 7 - Better from him, some nice touches & set up 2 of the goals.

Subs:
O'Hare 7.5
Kastaneer 5
Hyam 6

Marosi 7 Nice to have a keeper who looks confident with the ball at his feet as well as his excellent distribution
Dabo 6 For me, out of position for both goals, looked poor at the back. His saving grace was coming forwards where he looked dominant as ever
Mcfadz 9 High rating, mostly due to his fantastic Captaincy. Nice to see him in Dabos ear when he played the ball out, and just before a corner soon after instructing his players. Should be bread and butter for a captain but we dont always see this. Commands respect
Rose 6 Looked solid enough at the back but not impressed with his distribution today, looked for the Hollywood pass too often and misplaced/overhit too many when there was options to play it out
McCallum 6 Provided an option going forward but tracked back well. Beaten too easy
Westbrook 5 Added nothing for me today, everyone's entitled to a poor game. O'Hare should have started for me
Shipley 7 Solid in midfield, moved the ball well and found some decent space. Should have took a couple of shots
Walsh 9 Filled the Kelly sized gap well, didn't at all look out of place and confident first performance. Set pieces not bad
Jobello 7 Got himself about well, although bullied off the ball way too easy for a big guy. Needs more conviction going forwards. A Luke Thomas 'hit it as hard as you can' finish but did well
Godden 7 Didnt get all too many chances but a lot of that was down to Blackpools decent man marking. Took his goal well, moved well to create space off the ball
Hiwula 8 Came forward well and one of his stronger performances this season. Showed glimpses of last season, needs to find his confidence on the ball again rather than looking to pass it on so quickly

O'Hare 8 The energy and dedication this lad gives shines, chased everything, some good tackles, movement and passes. Linked up well with Walsh, excellent play for his goal
Hyam n/a
Kasteneer n/a Not really sure what (if anything) he was thinking for his one on one, either slot it, chip it or hammer it. Did none of this, didnt look confident or composed. Hopefully this will come with game time

Walsh was always looking for the ball and gradually moved further up the pitch more bossing it in the second half, when others needed a player to pass to, he was there. If he continues like that then he will make a massive difference to this team. He moves it forward quicker than others. Maybe not the defensive strength of Kelly but more attacking options.

If Walsh does well & Bristol don’t come down we could be in a position to sign him see he’s into his final year of his contract & we have him until then

I'd just give them all 10s for the character to come back and win it. Total dominance in second half. I like Marosi and his distribution. Hes a risk taker too which I appreciate he has to be to play the way we do from the back. Its definitely not good for the ticker though. O'hare is definitely a special player. Jobello good in bursts but seems a bit lightweight and muscled out when they catch up with him. I suppose it wins a few free kicks though.
