Can’t criticise anyone tonight. Gave their all for 120 minutes and absolutely had Sunderland on toast at points. Say what you like about Wright he’s our best forward and some of the comments on here are way out of line. Not his best night, but he’s been phenomenal for us.
He’s fucking bone idle. He touched the ball 17 times in 2 hours. I imagine the ball boys did more.

Their ball boys were magnificent. Sliow to give us the ball. Then had a hand in the build up to the winner. Threw ball in for quick throw which led to the corner. Our ball boys would have still been sat on their buts daydreaming. Sunderland did everything to give themselves the edge and it paid off. Even cooked us in the dressing room.

We wouldn’t of needed extra time if Lampard had of taken wright off in normal time we were better than them with 10 men, just imagine if we had 11

What happened to the directive to stop the ball boys returning the ball, players were told they had to retrieve one of the spare balls from around the pitch.

Has that been scrapped now?

Sakamoto can hold his head up.

So can grimes.

Wright is a fucking embarrassment, not effort, half hearted, pathetic.

If Collins was in goal he would get pelters, Wilson stuck to his line for the cross they got their corner from and from the corner.

Ultimately we collectively were not good enough, Sunderland's form heading in to our two games DLLLLL, it was a perfect opportunity.

Amazed people are saying Sheaf was poor. Might have come across differently on TV, but at the game itself everyone heaping praise. I thought he had a very good game, but faded as it went on.

Yes I thought he played well overall.

Especially as he had to play for so long on a yellow.

He got caught in possession a few times, but in the first half he was the only one linking the play.

I think he’s been told to stop looking for a back pass and to advance the play. So, instead of receiving and turning towards our own goal to shield and lay-off he’s tried turning and running through the line. Unfortunately he’s not the best at that and gets dispossessed.

What you will see clearly is his lack of movement to find space. Look back. Grimes gets the ball, Sheaf will just hang around and won’t try to lose his marker. Can’t develop play that way.

Sheaf has made a living out of receiving and laying off simple balls 80% of the time. The remaining 20% are great passes or great big errors in equal proportion.

Yes, I watched him get caught ball watching, be out of position and close down players already closed down. Also watched him far less effective than MVE going forward, to the point where we stopped passing to him and solely attacked down the right. You?

We solely attacked down the right to create an opportunity to get the ball into the box for an incoming EMC, and it worked!

It's a tactic we've used a lot this season, though sometimes from the left hand side also

Maybe he doesn't want to get injured so suggest he signs for the Portland Timbers or some other League 2 level club

It's Haji Wright's turn for the attention span of a gnat posters.
He was well below his best for the play off games, but that does not mean he is shit or not trying. Just off form.
It was Eccles last week who was brilliant when he came on before his unfortunate injury.

I think Sheaf is not fully fit yet after a bad injury.

It’s one heck of a time to be miles off your game.
