Sakamoto can hold his head up.

So can grimes.

Wright is a fucking embarrassment, not effort, half hearted, pathetic.

If Collins was in goal he would get pelters, Wilson stuck to his line for the cross they got their corner from and from the corner.

Can we please buy a decent center forward that can actually head a ball. Ditch Wright and the rest of them up front. Aim to go up in the auto's.

Everyone had a great game (Tats was MOTM), bar Wright, Sheaf and maybe Rudoni, but we can't keep relying on him. Have a strong summer transfer window and we go again next season, hopefully the autos next time!!

Wright is such an enigma. I’ve never seen someone who had such a wide range of performances - earlier this season he absolutely bullied that same defence, tonight he looked like 1/10th that player.

Kitching was very good tonight , his leadership across the back line and his blocks kept Sunderland at bay .
Also thought Eccles was very good

You wouldn’t know Wright was in contention for the US World Cup squad. Yet another game for him to go MIA

Wright gets a 1 for being on the team sheet. Anything above that is ludicrous because he did nothing you want from a striker. Didn't hold the ball up, didn't play anybody in, didn't work the defenders, didn't test the keeper. Absolutely diabolical performance.

Honestly some of you use a 4-9 rating system.

He lost Ballard for their goal , it ultimately cost us but across the whole game he was very good . Can see him being captain next season

Dasilva was probably only a couple of places down the pecking order for MoTM - mental.

Can’t criticise anyone tonight. Gave their all for 120 minutes and absolutely had Sunderland on toast at points. Say what you like about Wright he’s our best forward and some of the comments on here are way out of line. Not his best night, but he’s been phenomenal for us.

He’s been likeda new player the last few games, and was excellent again tonight.
Wright was pretty much the only one who was shite.
I’ve never been convinced by him as a central striker. The last time I said this was just before the Sunderland home game…

I think apart from the Sunderland home game hasn't been that good for a while and missed a good chance .

You don't have to be a dirty ugly team to go up Ston and Ipswich were not , granted they were shite in the PL.

I agree with everything you say but Wright fucking useless and I've been saying it all season. If he is our best striker then we need to get rid of them all and start again. Best team lost over two legs.

Wilson 6

Good save from their only real other chance, distribution ok, at fault for their goal. Would I have trusted him in the pen shoot-out against his boyhood team? No

MVE 6

Couple of decent crosses but was visibly
reluctant to pass out of defence and chose to kick to touch more often than normal.

Thomas 6

Didn’t have a lot to do. Don’t like the way he likes to concede corners rather than try to hoof to throw in. We had loads of corners. Zero threat from him.

Kitching 6

Seemed to be given a brief to pass through the lines. Got it wrong a few times. Other than that had not a lot to do

JDS 7

Same old story. Good offensively, suspect defensively.

Sheaf 5

Ball retention terrible. Motivational skills as skipper - low. Incisive play - zero. Poor.

Grimes 7

Controlled the game but seemed to miss a fair few runs.

Rudoni 6

Quiet by his standard.

Tats 8

Had them on toast. Wish he’d run in and try to get a pen more.

EMC 8

Loads of battle and a goal.

Wright 5

Turgid.

Subs

Too late.

Right problem with our team is
Cm are defensive
Right side saka is to short notice fast enough and refs don't protect him
Lb to short lcb and mid have to support
Lw hadgi and emc don't track back
No leaders
Only one attacking mid
Stickers come off after 90 mins looking like they haven't played.... There's a player in Simms and hadgi but they need to get over the fact there not rapers and put a fucking shift in.... I would rather have a Andy morrell then those two

They need to get over the fact that they are not rapers?

Now he just needs to learn how to take a throw in, and he might be the total package!
