Agree re Hamer…and mate, did you not see us last season?
I thought Vik was fantastic.
I’m pretty sure their 2nd wouldn’t have happened if Mcfadzean’s on the pitch.

Palmer has some amazing skills…looked absolutely fucked by the end.

Wilson 5- crap, robins obviously doesn't rate him as he keeps buying new gk to be number 1 and he obviously doesn't have confidence in Moore as he keeps putting Wilson in, need to solve this position

Dabo 5- poor, unfortunately has became a bit of a liability with his injury record. Another problem position robins needs to solve

Rose 5
Mcfadz 6
Doyle 7
Bidwell 6
Hamer 8
Sheaf 5
Allen 5
Palmer 6
Gyokeres 7
Waghorn- felt bad for the guy, clearly a decent professional who's had a good career but not sure the body is up to it anymore.
Ohare 6 -looked rusty until winning the penalty
Panzo 5 - doesn't fill me with confidence
Kane 5
Eccles 6

Wilson: 4 - Positionally hopeless and distribution so poor. Will be given one more match on Saturday and any mistakes, Moore will be back in.

Dabo: 5 - Could give Godden a run out for the slowest player we have who loves an injury. Another one in the squad who is too unreliable. Injured before the goal and should have gone off.

Rose: 6
Fadz: 6
Doyle: 6 - Clearly a good player in there.
Bidwell:6

Hamer: 8 - Another example of just how good he is when firing. People suggesting they'd take £5m in January a few weeks back are surely edging towards a backtrack.
Allen: 6 - Got into some good positions but hopeless in front of goal.
Sheaf 5: On a poor run for his standard.

Wag: Another injury prone player in the squad. A shame as he started well in the few minutes he was on.

Gyok: 6 - Defenders have begun to suss him out and know the referees will let them get away with the manhandling. I feel for him up there on his own trying to make something of the long balls. Some moments of class and a good penalty.

Subs
Palmer: 7.5 - Some wonderful stuff. Love watching him. Gets stuck in, offers additional physicality and moments of class. The link up when O'Hare came on looked exciting.
Kane: 7 - Has to start Saturday.
Panzo: 7 - Mopped up well.
Eccles: 5 - Feel sorry for him being pushed to RB.
O'Hare: 7.5 - Involved in the Hamer goal and winning penalty. The difference in quality between O'Hare and what we've watched so far this year is stark and he's only played 40 minutes of football.

Ref - Not quite as bad as the one last week but some very strange decisions. Let Rotherham get away with the tactics. I'd love to see a referee book for timewasting early on, they'd soon stop. Made up for it for a very good decision for the penalty (others would bottle it) and finally giving Gyökeres a free kick for being manhandled.

Rotherham - Clever and well organised. We thought we have done well with some clever tactics recently but Rotherham looked like the masters of it. Clever fouls, around the ref, timewasting with 50 minutes to go. It was nearly a perfect example of shithousing a way to 3 points.

You have to take into account Gyokeres was playing one up front once Waghorn went off. That’s tough at any level.

He’s got at least another 5 years in him easily. He’s 4 years younger than me and I managed an all dayer for Stoke away and I went out until 5am when I got back.

Can't fault Allen's effort but needs dropping to the bench now. I can only assume his goal on Saturday gave him a reprieve. Missed 3 good chances tonight and should've fouled their player on half way before the pass for their first goal.

We started poorly all round and only really Gus came out if the first 20 mins with any credit. Clear motm, great to see Cal back and Vik getting a pen as hard up top alone and keeps the run/ momentum.

Difficult to score I guess s mix of 6s and 7s 8 for Gus, 5 for Allen.

Wilson: 5 Looked like he was playing kabaddi for their first goal the way he went out, back and out again and ended up stuck in completely the wrong position.

Dabo: 5 Really struggling to get any consistency in his game. 1 minute something great, the next terrible. Back to cuddling Godden on the treatment table.
Rose: 6 One of those games where you didn't really notice him until he played a bad pass.
Fadz: 6 Not his best game recently but we missed him when he went off.
Doyle: 6 Best attacking outlet in the first 20 minutes.
Bidwell: 6 Defended ok but very little attacking output from him today.

Hamer: 9 MOM by a mile, was a bit worried how he was flying about in the first 20 minutes but he controlled himself well again and grabbed another goal from midfield
Allen: 6 Linked pretty well and made those good runs into the box. Very weak when he got there though.
Sheaf: 6 Don't think he is in anywhere near as poor form as some have suggested, rather he's been told to do more of the dirty work while we've been keeping things tight and let his other midfielders get forward.

Waghorn: Looked absolutely gutted to get injured after finally getting a start. I did think it was surprising he made the subsequent squads after going off after Sheff Utd.
Gyok: 7 He plays a very physical game and I think there might be a bit of fatigue kicking in as his decision making and execution were half a second too slow when he got into good positions today. Occupied their centre backs well though and should have had more fouls in the first half.

Subs
Palmer: 7 No idea why he is dividing opinion so much. Thought he tried to be creative every chance he got.
Kane: 6 Wasn't too involved but I hope he gets the RWB spot at the weekend
Panzo: 5 Let his man run passed him without even a glance back for their 2nd
Eccles: 6 Actually thought he did ok in attack from RWB today and got pretty high up the pitch. Must have been mightily relieved when Brammall went off injured
O'Hare: 7 Thought his all round play was a little rusty still but you could see all the signs of what we've missed and won the penalty

Overall thought the defensive change to the side had a knock on effect on the rest of the defence and we looked a bit all over the place at times.

Palmer took 15 minutes to settle into the game once he came on but he is a class act, has fantastic vision and is always trying to create and pass forwards.

Hamer was outstanding. That's him at his breathtaking best.

O'Hare coming on showed what he can do with Palmer and Hamer and those 3 linking behind Vik will create chances and score goals.

Hamer motm. Gyokeres just a battering ram all game. Palmer and O'Hare linked very well for both goals.

Thought Eccles grew into the game too, but really don't want to see him at RWB unless absolutely necessary

Special mentions.

Hamer carried the whole team plain and simple. Simply a cut above.

Wilson has sweet f all to do the whole match. And still manages to concede 2 pathetic goals.

Dabo..simply abysmal looked injured from first minute.

Wilson 6 - not sure about first goal
Dabo 5 - was he unfit from the start?
Bidwell 6 - ok but unspectacular
Rose 6 - ok
McFadzean 6 -ok and we missed him went he went off
Doyle 7 - excellent apart from the second goal. Would have been at least an 8 otherwise, but let's hope he learns from that mistake.
Hamer 9 - carried on from where he left off at Stoke
Sheaf 6 - ok
Allen 6 - lots of effort and running but wasteful
Waghorn - really unfortunate
Gyokeres 7 - some great play but could as usual have passed sooner on occasions

Palmer 8 - some amazing contributions together with some mistakes
Eccles 6 - got forward but struggled defensively against a very quick opponent
Panzo 6
Kane 6
O'Hare 6

Ratings for O’Hare and calls for Wilson to be dropped are comical.

O’Hare was very poor. His first touch was a fancy pass to no one which set the tone for his play. Haven’t seen the pen back but it looked soft.

Wilson’s first mistakes after 6 clean sheets and people are calling for Moore back in who averaged 1.5 mistakes a game hahahhahahhahaha. Clueless.

P.S why didn’t Tavares come on for Waghorn? Robins would rather change his entire game plan than give Tavares a full game. Get the fraud out. Any competent manager would have us on 30 points now.

What did O'Hare do to get marked above Palmer who had a great game? No criticism of O'Hare but he wasn't on long and is clearly still getting back up to speed.

You really think Allen was as good as Palmer tonight? Just wow!

The calls on the phone in blaming dropping Panzo for Doyle as the reason for not keeping a clean sheet were absolutely ridiculous. Obviously Dabo would have run faster and Wilson covered his near post better if Panzo had been playing...

Not crediting him, but he was involved. That move between Hamer, O'Hare and Palmer doesn't happen if say, Godden or Allen were in those positions like previous games this season.

Wilson - 4: Felt he could have done better with both goals, certainly the first. Distribution was better but ultimately he was a big part in us not getting three points. Unless Moore is rocking back and forth in a corner still I’d bring him back, if he is then I hope tot god we’ve got some funds for a keeper in Jan.

Rose - 7: Thought he got forwards really well and handled everything at the back. Much improved passing from last game.

Fadz - 7: Would be a six but gets a point for clearing out four of their players then getting up and walking away leaving a scene like Kill Bill.

Doyle - 7: Loses a point as I felt he could have done better with his positioning for the second, gains it back because he was excellent driving forwards first half.

Dabo - 5: Poor before the goal, poor for the goal. Has this really annoying habit of coming short when Rose is driving forwards and just compressing the play instead of dragging a man away.

Hamer - 9: That’s why he’s in the big three. Absolutely ran the game at points, well taken goal, some good set pieces that we really should do better getting on the end of.

Sheaf - 7: Don’t think he was poor, broke play up well and generally used the ball well.

Allen - 6: Hard one to score because he had a really good game and should be a 7 but is just so useless in front of goal and really should have taken the booking for their first. Surprised he stayed on and Sheaf came off TBH.

Waghorn - N/A: Looked lively the five minutes he was on. Gutted for the lad that he seemed to be finding some form then this happens.

Gyokeres - 7: Gets a point for the goal but his inability to pass the ball is getting to me. A few times an attack broke down because he tried to dribble through a mass of players instead of playing someone in. If he learns to pass better all round he’s a Premier League player easily.

Palmer - 8: Two assists basically, could have had a couple more as well. Closes down well and won the ball high up the pitch a few times. He was playing as a second striker so I didn’t expect to see him back on the edge of his own box harrying. Adds a whole new dimension to our attack, some of his flicks through like the assist for Hamer last game are sublime.

Eccles - 6: Their LWB absolutely had him on toast, on the ball he’s good and he’s got a great eye for a good pass, but defensively he’s not a wing back at all.

O’Hare - 7: Won the pen so gets a point, but clearly rusty as to be expected, silly background attempt I think lead to their second. But could be wrong.

Panzo - 5: Caught asleep for the second, I don’t think he won a header all game. Weird decision to take Fadz off unless there was an injury. Him and Doyle together is just too inexperienced.

Kane - 6: Ran about a bit, got forward OK. Would like to see him at RWB next game, but it’ll probably be Eccles.

Wilson in no mans lands for goal 1 , think Dabo was suffering before he pulled up leaving no protection for Wilson

Fadz off so we have him for Saturday - should get a meddle for taking four out

Palmer was excellent ,just missed a couple of passes towards the end but made the key one for O Hare to get in the box

Still baffled nobody took a booking for their first goal.

If Dabo was injured and had an idea he was going off too, just wipe the bloke out.
