We win 3-0 , Millwall commentator's had him as one of the best players on the park but it doesn't fit your agenda . Hope he scores a few soon so we don't have to read your inane drivel

There's folks rating him 7.5...lol can you imagine if he actually scored.

Fuck me I honestly can't see what this did today.

Gyokores on a bad day was absolutely battering the oppo black and blue. And if he didn't score wasmt scoring 7.5 on ratings when he missed 3 sitters.

Gyokeres was very ordinary when he first joined us and many on here ,myself included , were very surprised when we signed him permanently but I guess as you're shitfaced you've forgotten that

Tell me what saw from Wright please?.

He completed 12 passes in 95 mins.
Missed 3 sitters.
Couldnt on 3 occasions pass 5 yards to a player under no pressure.

Rinse repeat every match he has played.

Think I watched a different game to many on here.

Wright was poor and was rated on his performance today, not some envisioned performance in the future.

We all hope he does well and all this about Gyok being poor to start is all well and good, he would have been rated on his performances at the time.

So:

Amount of luck and hope for him rating: 10

Performance today: 5

I saw him make intelligent runs that created chances for himself .
I saw him bully there defenders and make space for other players
Basically he played a very unselfish role today in a good team performance

You know what let's not even try to compare this turd to gyokores.

At least gyokores in his loan spell scored a 20/25 yarder at Stoke that made you think this young 21/22 year old has something about him.

I gave him a 0.7 higher rating than Fotmob and a 1 higher rating than whoscored .

You have given him a 1.8 rating less than fotmob and a 1.5 rating lower than whoscored .

If I'm being overly generous , you're being overly harsh no ?

I agree Evo. I have backed him every game and sung his name out every game (whilst rolling my eyes )...but there is no improvement. He peaked at Leicester away as far as I'm concerned.

Godden has had almost twice as many touches in the last 2 games since we switched to 4atb than his last 2 games in a wing back system .

Personally feel that the new system will benefit many of our players

We played so much better today, almost unrecognisable from previous games. I feel like it’s finally “clicked” now and I’m glad that we’re happy to sit back and counter rather than think we have to great the perfect chance by passing the ball around the back for half an hour.

I don’t want to be overly optimistic but I think we’ll get at least 2 wins out of the next 4 games if we continue to play like we did today

I've not scored but both were immense imo yesterday.

Ben's stats:

5 tackles won ()
12/16 ground duels won ()
2/2 aerial duels won
5 interceptions
10 ball recoveries
1 chance created
1 goal

I've not got Eccles to compare, but yhe above is pretty solid and worthy of a top score.

He played very well, but once again Eccles was something special. It's a shame he isn't appreciated amongst our fan base anywhere near as much as he should be. He's been better than Sheaf this season, including today.

Collins 8 MOTM Hard to imagine that Wilson is a superior keeper on this showing

MVE 7 Feels like there is a lot more to come from him. Love the Klopp fist pumps at the end!
Thomas 7 Very assured, he is clearly capable at this level
Kitching 7 See above, I’m very glad he’s finally in the team
Bidwell 7 Did the usual Bidwell stuff

Eccles 8 Corners lol, but in all seriousness he’s probably one of the players of the season so far
Sheaf 7 Sloppy at times, supreme at others. Wonderful ball to spring Bidwell for the first goal
Allen 7 Quiet to start but his energy is such an asset

Sakamoto 7 Crossing not always great but so fun to watch when he takes on his fullback. He can clearly thrive in his natural position
Godden 7 Tough work against two very physical CBs but did well in the air and scored
Wright 6 Does everything right and then collapses…frustrating but he’s a boom and bust player

Subs N/A

If you think we’re in a battle for survival then I don’t know what to tell you

Collins 8 made some important saves and took some crosses that we arent used to seeing
MVE 7.5 did a lot of decent stuff that went unnoticed. Probably his best allround game for us
Bidwell 8.5 MOTMso glad he’s back in and long may it continue. Strangely gets forward more as part of back 4 than a 5.
Collins 7 looks so much better in back 4
Kitching 8 this lad is class
Eccles 8 he was excellent and a couple of his passes to set is forward were hameresque
Sheaf 7.5 was excellent after the first 5/1 minutes.
Allen 7.5 very good again.
Sakamoto 8 had their full back on toast. Actually felt sorry for the poor bloke in the end.
Wright 6.5 gets in decent positions and his pace stretched them at times. Seems to react rather than anticipate anywhere other than in the box.
Godden 7.5 was excellent and far more involved in the new formation.

I don’t know either of you but it’s an opinion not an agenda it’s what a forums for.
I was there today and personally I thought Wright was ok off the ball but slow to react and doesn’t seem to read the game that well he was mostly shit on it. He loses every personal battle with the C/H’s and pulls out of 50/50’s I don’t know if he lacks aggression or if he’s scared of getting hurt.

I think it’s a confidence thing. I thought he was decent yesterday but a couple of his passes, especially the one on the break, were woeful.
I think I noticed an improvement in his ball retention. He took a pass, held it up, laid it off, better than I’ve seen him do before. Simple stuff but crucial.
