Just a friendly but I'm looking forward to MVE and Saka down the right and Bidwell and EMC down the left.

Rudoni looks really good so far and puts in a great ball as well.

Hard to give ratings as it's a friendly, and Getafe were more interesting in MMA than football. Refs were wank as always, but my main takeaways:

I think we may be okay with Eccles/Burroughs as RB back up.

Hope Wright is okay, but on the subject of him and the ST position, I think I'm happy with Obikwu/Dausch filling in there as 3rd/4th option. If something happens to Simms, we could move Wright centrally and have EMC cover left.

Rudoni on set pieces looks decent too!

In very hot conditions we played with good energy and looked bright both halves. In fact we looked the better side through out and unlucky not to get a goal.

In all honesty pre season friendlies don't tell you a lot, but it was a good workout.

Tats, MVE and Rudoni caught the eye. No bad performances by anyone really. Looking good

Nice to see two lots of 11 who could interchange at same or similar level. Not so sure when we last saw that

I wouldn’t be happy with either young striker being our third choice forward …. Far far too raw.

Tavares isn’t a wide player but isn’t physical enough to play as the lone striker …. Probably better he gets a loan move ….

Good play down the right side in first half (MVE and Tats) and good play down the left in the second half (EMC and Rudoni). I liked what I saw

Thought Jamie Allen did well. Sometimes people forget how he knits things together.

Enough of this positivity.
Powder huffing and puffing.
Get a striker in now

A decent work out in hot conditions.
Good preparation at this stage of pre-season.

The ref was very poor and should of clamped down on the bad challenges early on.

Maybe he should be on the great British knitting show.

The formation/tactical change will suit Allen’s attributes better than playing as a 10 or a holding CM.

He is well worth keeping around for an energy, box to box option off the bench.

Thought Sheaf was in their half a bit more than we're used to?

A good workout which we controlled for the most part, looking forward to seeing Torp and Rodriguez or Rodri as I like to call him in action

Torp and Rafa were anonymous, get rid. Didn't see much of Dovin either, but will give him one more chance.

Was nice to see Rudi putting in some quality balls, the last kick of the game being that freekick which kitch narrowly put wide

Changes are coming

Burroughs ability to skin someone from a stop position is impressive. He showed it a few times when he played for us and I'm hoping that loan spell has given him the confidence to believe.

You can tell he wants to just run at people but doesn't want to lose it or make a mistake

I’d be happy with Burroughs as backup to MVE to be honest

I'd forgotten what a unit he is - looks like he's bulked up a bit.

I didn’t realise he’s already 23. Make or break for him now.

I am not a fan of his but I thought he was pretty decent and his one touch passing was very good except for the one he passed straight to them

The right is sorted. It’s those pesky lefties that continue to be bothersome…art imitating life imitating art.
Or something.

If anything it’s the weak centre that worries me TBH.

The left and right probably need to move a little more central if we're to be successful.
