Fans are too emotionally damaged by SISU to turn up in those numbers at Wembley

Yeah, but they could temporarily vacate the club like they did for the Checkatrade final in order to allow everyone to attend.

Some interesting stats from the playoffs

Lincoln fans won’t fancy the playoffs route having been involved in league two play offs 5 times consecutively and failed every time.
They were beaten finalists in 2003, 2005 and semi final losers in 2004, 2006 and 2007.

7th place is the best play off spot! Those sides have the best trend over the last decade having won promotion the most times in the last 10 seasons.

3 times in the last 5 seasons has the side finishing 7th been promoted and 5 times in the last 10. 6th place is the worst spot over 10 seasons

Sides promoted from league standings
7th xxxxx

Will Exeter still be allowed to only allocate 300 tickets to away fans in the playoffs or will it be like a cup match where you have to allocate 15%?

Of those that finished 7th and got promoted, how many were teams that finished strong to secure a play off place and came into the play offs with form or were they teams that were stuttering like us? I don't know for league two, but I seem to remember that happening in the championship when we were there.

Whoopee! If we finish 7th, we stand a better chance of promotion AND we get to keep our record intact!! You know, the one where we haven't finished in the top 6 in any league for 48 bleedin' years!

On safety grounds they can only give 300. Not sure where you expect them to magic the rest from.

Rent Exeter chief's ground for the day. There would be absolute chaos because you know thousands of cov will turn up.

Remember Barnsley couple years ago in league 1. They were bottom in October November . Lost something like 10 in a row.including that game when we won 4-3 (joe Cole free kick). They then stormed into 7th place and won play offs easy.

You jest, but I didn't go to the Checkatrade final and I wouldn't bother to go to this-but I would have done before we went to Northampton. You're actually talking about the "glory" fans who have been to less than a dozen games since 87 I think...

Wife supports Villa and she came to Checkatrade final with us - great family day out and she'd go again to play off final much like glory supporters. In fairness though she's been to half dozen away games and a few home this season so probably more deserving of a ticket than most.

Good question, the answer tho I don’t know without a detailed search.
Crystal Palace famously went on a storming run years ago if I recall I’m the championship, Barnsley too in league one recently as been stated.

Last season Exeter were in phenomenal form going from 2nd bottom I think to finish well in the plays offs but failed still as Blackpool won the play offs.

Thanks that's really intereting, so Bradford is probably the closest to our seasons form. Shows how difficult Wimbledon had it, had to win 4 and draw 1 of their last 5 just to maintain 7th. Even Dagenham who started in the top 7, dropped off mid season to find form going into the last run of games. It does suggest we need to finish with form rather than stutter to 7th to improve our chances in the play offs.

Which website are they from?

This is our season graph

The data gathered is from Transfermkt
League Two - Form table

If you flick back through the seasons in question it will show you the sides in the play offs form on the run in.

What’s safety got to do with it.? The work being done is on the other side of the ground. Segregation could easily be moved.

Have we really only been top 3 at the start of the season. Sure we have been up there at some other point too?

On the grounds they arent allowed to give more than 300. Just because we want more doesnt mean they can give us them.

Depends if they have any other areas they can use. What did they do in FA Cup games? No idea how they did in the cup so may not have reached a stage with a big enough away following.
