Our form in all league matches since that 5 match losing streak (that I personally put down to off field matters)

6 wins
2 draws.
3 defeats.

20 points from 11 games.

Otis did you say we need to be averaging 1.79 points per game?

Are you Phillip Schofield by any chance? Such is your poor grasp of facts I assume you are.

Your "off field" conspiracy is 4 matches and no one can prove we would not have lost them.

Play off form applies I think to league games only. We have not even won 6 league games.

Yeah, sorry Don it's actually W-5, D-2, L-3. 17 points in 10 games.

EDIT: On a positive note though, not far off 1.79!

When Boothroyd was manager weren't we aiming for an average of 15 points over 10 games for the POs?

That was Coleman, he said 15 points every 10 games would keep you in the mix like 8th-10th position ready to make a push at the end

Sorry 5.

5 wins.
2 draws.
3 defeats.

17 points from 10 games.

I will also accept that it is complete coincidence that we lost 5 league matches on the bounce, from the day we sacked our manager up to and including the first match for our new manager 2 days after he took over.

This was by no means anything to do with that coincidence.
It is solely because we have the worst squad ever and no manager in the world could get this squad promoted.

Infact is one of life's miracles that they have won half their games since then.

I think it's 11 games played and 17 points.

He said since the losing streak ended in the league. Think it's 10 games.

You know, with all this maths going on its a wonder anyone's got time for football. I'm starting to understand why you got relegated.

In all likelyhood to acheive playoffs 2points per game is more likely needed than !.79 ,however from the start of the season that would be Automatic form .

Yes during this 'play off' form the points gap between us and 6th place had widened by 3 points

Hey Grendel we are averaging the same as the mighty Tranmere over the last 10 games and actually appear above them in the form table.

We are averaging 1.7 so not bad really. Also I do think we will prosper as smaller squads get depleted.

I don't love the fact Colchester are 3rd in the form table over the last 10 games

Do it for the last 3 games (long enough time to assess that a squad won't go up and sack your manager).

We are 6th in the form table and hit the magic 2 points per game, (would do a smile and wink here)

If you do it on the last 1 game, you're top.

Tranmere have managed identical points for the same period as have most of the teams in the top 6 - in other words we are making zero progress in terms of the play off positions.

I suppose losing McGoldrock will not deplete our squad.

Yea it is all well and good saying we are averaging as many/nearly as many points as Tranmere, Crawley, Dons etc but we need to be averaging more than them
