Thinking now that I might have a serious dilemma on my hands - holiday booked from Friday 23rd May for a week in Tenerife.
Play off final on Sat 24th I think - I will need to buy an extra flight out on late Saturday night or Sunday morning and miss the first two days of my holiday but when do I book it?
How confident am I that we will make the final…..I’m currently a 6/10

This happened to me last time. Playoff final in the middle of holiday in South of France. Bought a £30 flight back from Girona on the day of the final in April. Had to buy a much more expensive flight to get back to the holiday and an apology meal for my partner. She's only just forgiven me.
Think the whole experience cost me more than my season ticket all in all.

I regret nothing.

Wife wanted to book a weekend away for the weekend of the playoff final this season before Xmas. I said we couldn't due to play off final as I'd heard too many stories of people like yourself having to re-plan and grovel to their better halves.
She turned around to me and said not a chance Cov are getting in the play offs....
Came home last night and first thing she said to me was "they're going to do it, aren't they?"

I was on holiday during the last playoff final, so wasn't able to attend.

I said I wouldn't miss another, cue me now expecting another baby with my partner due over the same weekend as this years play off final.

I'm praying baby is born early so I can attend the game - should we get there!

If you have to holiday around that Bank Holiday weekend, always opt for the British holiday. Cornwall, Devon, etc. You can get to the game and saves a lot of heartache.

Just me that even planned in advance when my child would be born to avoid this sort of thing?

May, June and July. Playoffs, euros/world cups. I’m not available.

I'm in Poland, so from a very selfish point of view, I hope the City don't make the top 6.

I'd already marked it off in the calendar after the Swansea game.
Still a lot of teams in the mix for the fifth and sixth spots, but got a sneaky feeling it will be us and Sunderland in the final

Never go on holiday, just stand outside Wembley, and wait.

Do other people not put the key dates in their calendar as soon as they are announced? I'm not booking anything for those dates until I'm certain we're not going to be there.

I’m on holibobs from 4th May to 19th, so will be able to see us beat Middlesbrough to get into playoffs on the last day and back in time for the final, unlike last time being in Turkey! Shame I’ll mis the semis tho

Due date for our first kid is May 19. Couple of months ago I was relaxed with it all, now I’m officially panicking.

My mate gave us a choice of going abroad either early or late May bank holiday for his stag do, managed to convince him the early one was best for this very reason. I can deal with missing the last home game but if we made the final and I couldn't go I'd be sick.

I live in the US. Planned a holiday in the UK (more visiting Scotland than anything) with the wife around the time of the Playoff Final with the flexibility to hop down to London if need be.

That's what I call strategic planning

Jesus you lot!
We are 8th, having played two more games than some and are just scraping results....

Getting into top six, then winning a two legged tie where we are likely away in the second leg needs a lot more to fall into place over 15 more games.

Chuffed to bits we are picking up results......but let's not get too carried away here!!.....

I am away for the date of the final. C'est la vie.

I did book at the end of October though, I never thought play offs would be on the cards at that time.

I’m going to Ayr for a week this Friday so not able to go to the game which I’m gutted about. I had settled to watch it on Sky in a local pub, but just found out Ayr are also playing on Friday night in their playoff semi final .
