Cannot understand how Juggy (I think it was) on CWR could find fault with him. Held everything up and was awesome alongside Nimely. Doesn't get a fair deal from refs most of the time, but doesn't let it affect his game.Best thing Boothroyd did for this club I think (on par with Keogh). Shame he's 34! Could do with a younger version!!

He is a limted player but he is great at what he does. In those last 15 mins everything and I mean everything stuck to the guy when we played the ball forwards.

It was GT. Way off the mark there. Platt was excellent.

GT also said you couldn't fault any of the back four tonight, where I would say that Clarke didn't have the best of games by a long chalk.

Clarke worries me at Left Back. Even though it would mean changing the back four in three places, I'd rather Clarke play RB, Christie CB, and Crainie LB. I know this takes Crainie away from the decent CB partnering he has with Keough, however he did play almost half a season there last season so knows the position better than most of our 'versatile' players do

Couldn't believe the Leeds comedy goal where Baker and Christie tackled each other by the corner flag. Good job a defensive error didn't cost us again

That was poor. Yet again school boy stuff. Fortunately it didn't cost us this time

Thought Platt was excellent tonight. Won a lot in the air, held the ball well to play to Nimely. I'll overlook the ball across the line he should have put away though!

There was a massive cock-up by Cranie after that when he had a chance to clear but didn't. It shoulda been him Murphy was ranting at.

Back to the OP-agreed. Platt was bloody superb. Fantastic with his back to goal and a real handful for them all game. His touch and balance when retaining possession and laying the ball off were the best from a City target man since Dele (another big man who was more effective with the ball to feet, back to goal, than in the air). His passing was very impressive, and his graft quite immense.

Not quite his normal aerial supremacy ,but a true centre forwards performance and showing the legs at the end to take out of defence ,carry it up the line to play to Nimely to win the pen ,so a kind of assist ,and two superb chestdowns in the last twenty ,coupled with great distribution, great show.

It was his passing that surprised me. The way he turned and laid it off perfectly out wide for runners every time, brought to mind a certain Mr Regis at times!
