If this is true it would be a disastrous decision. I would be very disappointed if this came about in the future. The BBC already losing sports left right and centre to Sky now are to lose football altogether?

I have not read any other sources for this so don't shoot the messenger.

The goverment needs to do something about sports. We're losing sports left and right off free to air (first prem then championship.. F1, now the radio). Without free to air sports children won't be encouraged/inspired to go into them and we'll end up just dropping down the rankings in pretty much everything
