I've been having a gd exchange of tweets with new group, Trust and Les Reid. There is too much to say in a tweet so I have invited them to look at, and comment, on a plan for a possible united way forward posted at https://www.facebook.com/KeepCovInCovCampaign and would extend that to all on here

The one thing we need is a tangible, short term, realistic goal. Whether that's "answer these x questions" "talk to each other on X date" "offer/accept a short term rent deal at the same terms as Sixfields" or "sell Sisu the Ricoh for x valuation". Find that point far enough back for all sides and start from there. What it is I'm not sure, but it will be small and tangible that can be arranged in a matter of weeks and confirmed as completed or not.

I like a lot of the messages though, be careful not to give reason for either side not to engage with you though, as we've seen Sisu in particular are very wary of any group deemed in the slightest bit hostile.

It's why I'd always be more for the positive assertion of identity.

That's as neutral as it comes, but obviously while doing so there are some messages that have no choice to be read, and draws attention to geography, identity, economy just by its existence.

Current KCIC facebook "charter"
1. Fan unity is top priority.
2. acl-sisu r unworthy of being connected with CCFC.
3. Team and fans are what matters
4. Fan-led ownership model (working with co-investors) is way to secure best future for team and fans - not being at the whim of businesses whose priority is making money not putting team and fans first.
4. Message to acl-sisu is current position is unsustainable so what are your exit options (Trust says it is already putting in application for Ricoh community asset transfer).
5. Rather than a petition focused on only one party why don’t we do a joint petition to DCMS Select Committee calling on them to use CCFC as a case study of failings in football governance and finance, and call to account ALL those responsible for the mess we are in.
6. Have a candle light vigil and theme of unity at cov cathedral (assuming they agree!) to bring fans together and keep flame of hope alive

Have read the Facebook charter and;

1. ACL/SISU are "unworthy" of being connected with CCFC - More sweeping statements with no basis in the reality of the situation - until we step away from these pejorative generalisations, how on earth can you expect to have enough trust to bring these groups together?
2. "Fan Based Ownership Model" - another pipe dream given current lack of investors or high rolling Coventry fans - much more realistic to talk about a "sustainable" business model - because thats about as much as we can hope for
3.Candlelit vigil at the cathedral - Dreadful, tasteless idea still being pedalled - 2000 people died in the Blitz.linking this to the plight of a third division fottball team is thoughtless and crass.

The Cathedral is supposed to signify the dangers of conflict and embodies the spirit of peace and reconciliation. I think that makes it a rather appropriate place. It has never been intended to be a Blitz memorial in the true sense, that sits in the precinct.

I've looked at this and think you may have something here but would prefer if it was being done under the SBT umbrella.

One question however, if Les Reid is involved in commenting does that not make him an 'activist' rather than the neutral report he is supposed to be?
