The Ocean is our local restuarant and we love it there. Been going for many years.

Some surprising ones on there though.

Never even heard of Fizz 2 Eat, though I do now want to go just to meet that adorable waitress.

You forgot the Food Banks. A blight on the Conservative government.

hardly symptomatic of a vibrant, exciting city with excellent venues where tourists will drive to, etc etc

It's based on Trip Advisor reports, i.e. a load of bollocks. It's worth looking at the one for the Kahawa coffee shop, it's in the old Job Centre on New Union St. The owner is clearly writing false reviews as the writing style is the same. Many reports naming the people who work there!

Yes, cos Coventry isn't any of those things! Thank the visionary local authority for that.

It's based on Tripadvisor reviews so the more popular (see: cheap) places are likely to get more mentions. (EDIT: plus the bullshit reviews that these sites always get as fernando mentions above)

Got to disagree with you there meet my wife there for lunch when i'm on late shift about the best cup of coffee in the town.
None of that milky water you get at some of the better known ones.....

Oh and I got my first ever job from there in 1978
