Any word on why the pitch had been narrowed 2 yards on both sides yesterday?
Pay the ground staff 1 hours less pay
less pitch less rent!!!
i suspect it was an attempt t limit the damage of the peterborough wingers...which seemed a bit desperate to me
was told was reduced to match the same size as rytons training pitch
was told was reduce to match the same size of rytons training pitch
I thought you have to submit your pitch size before the season started? Or it's because we've returned to The Ricoh and have finally been allowed to re-submit it?
Yep, exactly that.
Matched Ryton's and Sixfield's pitch width.
I agree with Beduff on this.
I was under the impression that the measurements have to stay the same through the course of the season and can't be altered from the dimensions submitted at the beginning.
I would have guessed that they'd have to be the same as Sixfields or the dimensions should have been submitted prior to the Gillingham game.
I wasn't there yesterday, are we sure it was definitely narrowed?
Just seen the previous post, would make sense if we had to have the same dimensions as Sixfields.
100% was narrowed. The previous lines are now in a green paint.
Geoff Foster said he was told this by the club.
There'll be some more lines covered by green paint come December!
On this topic, I believe Man City are building or have built, 20 pitches at their training base to replicate those in the Premier League. I can only imagine it's more to do with dimensions than it is conditions.
