Ibhope whoever is in charge next season makes the pitch as big as possible, for the following reasons

1) we will be playing teams more used to small pitches

2) if we are the better team and teams come to defend it will be easier to break them down

Interestingly the pitch for last nights qualifier match was bigger than normal by about 10 yards

Our club has been crying out for a good, pacey winger or two for years now. The only problem is, when you get your west broms turn up who can play football, they'll take you apart and will love the big pitch even though they dont play on such a big one at home.

that's my point we won't be getting west brom's turn up. We should be the team lookin to pass teams off the pitch

No where near, it's a lot smaller now than when we first started playing there. Think it was dowie or Coleman had it strunk!Ft

I think we should make it wide and high at the City end, narrow and low at the visitor's end.

Im sure there will be teams throughout the season in league 1 who play differently to the stereotypical lower league hoof, no doubt we will be drawn a biggy in the cup at round 3 aswell (if we get there) knowing our luck.

Do agree with your suggestion though

I recall Dowie had it extended and then Coleman had it reduced in his second season I think.
Our squad is tiny and unfit so I don't know weather a larger pitch with more ground to cover will be such a good idea.

plenty of PL fans think the championship is hoofball. I imagine there are fair few decent footballing teams in league 1.

Would it be legal to grow the grass to about 6 feet high? it would just be funny that all.

He never scored goals in League 1 before, then again he's never scored goals anywhere before.

Last night shown that if you play with wingers then a larger pitch suits you. We don't play with wingers so don't see the point.

Unless we're going to get the Senegal Olympic Coach as our next manager (And he got them playing decent football), I can't see a pitch adjustment making an ounce of difference
