Players whose careers at City prematurely ended because of injury.

To start I give you Lee Hurst, Graham Oakey and Liam Daish.

I remember Daish playing plenty of games, thought it was more that Breen, Williams and Shaw were preferred.

What a tragedy the injury to Graham Oakey was. He was, for me, the best attacking full back city have ever had. When i watch how Liverpool have attacked this season, its the sort of team he'd have thrived in. He was potentially that good.

Dean Emerson.... Think he would have played for England if it hadn't been for Gary F**king Megson!

Impressive that he scored a goal for us then. Most prolific striker in CCFC history I believe. And with his reputation I'm sure he kicked plenty of balls.......along with shins, ankles...

Chris Chilton. Proven striker, big money signing. Did his back getting out of his car.

Bryan King. Another one who had had a good career and looked like a great signing. Some disastrous performances, notably a 5-0 at Arsenal. Then another bad back merchant.

Alan Brazil.

Manchester United took Terry Gibson off our hands and sent us a previously good player who had serious back issues.
