Hate to say it... We need a target man.

Why hoof balls up to David McGoldrick. I can't think of one time he's won a header, or held a ball up!
Cody Mcdonald obviously can't hold a ball up either.

If we played along the floor for a full 90minutes then fine, we wouldn't need the big target man. We don't, we hoof it after 5 minutes when things don't go our way.

Ball isn't an answer to that problem. He's not strong, he's not particularly tall. He's got a awful touch as well.

Leon Clarke pissed on us today. He was far too strong for Edge and Wood!

Platt or Juke are a mile better than Ball.

I was baffled by the long ball today, Scunthorpe played all the football for the majority of the game which is embarrassing

Totally agree, why play hoofball to McGoldrick, Cody, Fleck and Baker. None have won a header in their lifetime.

We cannot play the ball on the floor. The players are not good enough to pass the ball. The midfield is abject.

Ball is 6 foot 2.

Platt - has he scored a second for Northhampton yet?

Scunthorpe were a better team than us. Man for man superior. Shows we have a relegation battle and people need to wake up.

Ball might be 6ft 2, but how many balls has he held up, or headers won compared to Juke who's an inch smaller!
Platt, how many times did he make chances last season compared to Ball?

Why was McGoldrick out wide today? the shape was wrong. MR fault or players misbehaving?

I think it was just his frustration and went looking for the ball.
Or maybe with him bringing on ROD he had 3 upfront.

No pace, little skill, unable to unlock defencesn None of the 9 brought in by Thorn or whoever last summer are good enough, Fleck apart maybe is okay, add to that the ones still here who helped to get us relegated and you see the problem Mark Robins has inherited and can do nought about it until the transfer window and will not be allowed to do much then.
This big fish in the division one pond some seem to suggest we are is bollox, relegation is very much on the horizon, IMO we need a minimum of 4 players of distinctive superior ability than what we presently have plus it is essential we keep McGoldrick but bigger fish will be circularing him now, losing him would mean we need 5 players.
You can buy decent players at this level for 100 to 200 thousand but can anyone on here realisticly see SISU putting anything approaching a million quid in the transfer kitty even with Ms Joy Seppella's new hands on approach, be lucky to get a tenth of that.

These players were signed with a view of on the floor footey.

We need a new nine if we are to play hoof ball.

Don't thing hoof ball is Robin's style to be fair

Can't see why anyone slated him, he was strong win the headers played the ball well, he just didn't bang in goals and was a walking injury

It really wasn't that bad FFs. Only one player except two center halves was woeful. That's Jennings. He is pony. Complete trash

Jennings has had maybe 1 and a half good games since he came here. The game just seems to pass him by at times.

Ah yes, but then Juke is a very good player. I think the days of us buying gems like Juke have gone for a while. Our only hope is to borrow one.
