I've got hundreds Rich. Every time I leave the house I take me camera! I'll select some nice ones and bang them on here.....

Rich, don't know if you recall "Shantys" - the pub next door to the castle in Yarmouth? He got done last year for smuggling £8mill worth of heroin! He'd tied it to a bouy in the solent and it was discovered by the coastguard. Think he got 5 years inside! Big news for little Yarmouth at the time!

Wow i don't recall seeing that one, but what a story. £8mill. Was it supposed to be picked up by someone then? Why didn't he just use a little boat and hop it over to the mainland himself.

The Locarno (Now the Central Library)

How Hertford Street used to look in 1955 (Looking towards Broadgate. It's now all covered)

Broadgate 1962 (note Godiva statue in the middle of the green)

Gosford Street 1965 (near by what is now Cov Uni)

The old GEC works in Spon Street

Bishops Street 1957 (Looking down towards the Burgess and Corporation Street

When I was down there at the end of September I was on the phone to coventry and it was p*ss*ng it down. I was in shorts and t-Shirt. I love it down there and if my missus would let me I'd be working in Newport now. My company own Moreys so there is always space for me to transfer.

I done the 3 Peaks Challenge about 18 years ago (when I ws younger and fitter!!). Snowdon, Scafell and Ben Nevis - all in a week-end. Raised £18,000 for Baby Lifeline at the time. What a killer that was! Still got some pics somewhere.

Really not gloating DSB. It's just that I've always worked and now, after 45 years, I have retired! And why stay in Cov for the rest of my natural? It's great down here. If anyone is heading here for a break, let me know and we can always meet up for a pint!
