After a long working week following a nice holiday, I was half asleep/walking down the street and just dropped my phone (ironically outside The City Arms).
Does anyone on here know anywhere that repairs screens (it's cracked all over) that won't cost an absolute fortune? It's a Samsung S6.
Many thanks in advance!
Yes done it myself. A guy in cannon pro isn't bad outside tesco and costa coffee on a stall. Also you can barter with him.
Also another guy in rugby in the clock towers shopping center who runs a good shop. Fair priced.
I paid about 185 on an s5. Used curranthub down by leekes / ricoh.
I paid £35 for my Sony Xperia z on Ball hill.
Thanks mate, that was the first place I had in mind.
Any idea how much an S6 job should cost? Just so I know what I'm bartering with!
Not sure of the name. What was the place called mate?
£185
I thought £60 would be top shelf and that was for iphone!
This was a while ago and it was the whole LCD
Is it just the glass that needs doing?

Yeah thats a very fair point Ranjit. Grandkids spilt pop over a laptop, I had to claim on the household insurance. The excess was £100 and OK, got a new one, but lost my no claims (for some reason, there's no "no claims" protection). Since then, have taken out the tech pack from Barclays - its £9.50 a month but that covers 4 phones and kit totalling £1,500. The thing that appealed to me is the excess isn't too much in comparison, and the fees don't go up if you claim. Same as all insurance, at the end of the day you're probably paying out more than you claim for, but I guess you're paying a little every month for piece of mind, rather than having a big bill in an emergency.Depending on the age of your handset, be mindful that any screen repairs by a third party could invalidate your manufacturer's warranty. Also worth checking if your mobile is covered by your household contents insurance or within a packaged bank account if you have one.
Some of the prices quoted on here seem a bit steep so might be worth checking out.

Yep and remember to register the handset with them otherwise they sack you off.We have mobile phone insurance with our Halifax current account. Covers two phones. Had an old S4 repaired a few times which my son now uses and I have a Note 4 which has been repaired a couple of times. My wife dropped her S5 the other week so will send that off when I get out. Turnaround is less than a week.
Check to see if you have insurance with your bank.
