I think Mowbray is hinting at exactly that. I think he is as disappointed as the fans knowing a couple of results and it could have been different. Hence the apology to the fans.
But you still have to look at how far we have come and he is right to say 8th is the bare minimum as he expects us to progress.

Agreed, and he's also worth a lot more than £1.5m.....i think if Newcastle go down, he will be there. It would be silly not to.
