Well all the talk of a new Cb coming in to shift Aaron out the team certainly put a rocket up his arse! What a blinding game he had, by far the best hes ever played for us, and I'm going to stick my neck on the line and call him my MOM just ahead of murphy and Fortune

Colchester really tried to put pressure on full backs today and in general they stood up well. Phillips got better as the game went on. 2nd half he was excellent.

He just needs to calm down and stop diving into tackles and watch his feet in the box, giving away needless penalties.

No one is expecting Roland Nilsson, but that doesn't mean he can't concentrate a bit more and just be sensible in his play.

Phillips did well today. Was worried at one point that he would get sent off after a needless booking but had the better of their number 11 for the whole game.

MOTM was Vincelot in my opinion. Controls the whole midfield allowing the rest to play. Last weekend proved it. Vital he stays fit and suspension free.

I wasn't expecting Roland Nilsson when we got Roland Nissan, but what a player. Just looked class and never needed to get out of second gear. Trevor Peak was similar in the centre of defence, just sweeping up.

It's his hands he needs to watch in the box, not his feet.

If he does it quickly, would that mean he wasn't consistent?

Given a number of pens away with rash tackles too.

I don't remember Roland Nissan. Was he a good runner with a good engine on him? Was he quite fast too and did he give everybody the horn?

Thinking about it, maybe I did see him motoring down the flanks at some point. Must have had good acceleration.

Okay I'll stop now. Need to take a brake.

It will interesting to see TM's team selection on Saturday. New CB (hopefully) plus Kent and Armstrong available.

Do you change a winning team. For me you have to play JOB and Murphy so drop Fortune and Lameries. Is that fair?

He will keep same team with Kent on the bench and Armstrong in for fortune. Depends on who this CB is will determine if he starts it not. I.e experienced or a youngster

I think Cole plays if he is fit. It looks to me that we must have a deal that costs us £ every squad he is in, so he either plays or is not in the squad.... I could be wrong of course

Yep. Probably Armstrong for Fortune and Cole for Lameiras. We need JOB's energy and you can't now drop Murphy.

Be tough on Lameiras, but he will get his chance again and besides, if Cole is fit, what he is capable of could be massive for the team.

Lameiras would probably come on for Cole at some point anyway I would have thought.

Wonder if TM wants Cole here for the long term and is going gentle with him to get him fully fit........just a thought.
