Rumour is AFCB will pay most of his wages as an apology for those 3 loans they stiffed us with the Wilson deal.

To be fair those three are linked with everyone in the championship. Can’t see it with Leeds targets including hamer. Sheffield won’t be able to spend until someone goes which might give us time and let’s be honest Burnley’s a basket case who knows who’s coming and going. Not saying it’s happening, but Jesus what a signing if so

Surely Burnley will want billing. They have lost several players and will have more cash than we do

Probably more likely to see that midget yank owner in his baseball cap alongside giant Billing in some humorous photoshoot

Possibly, but Coventry as a brand and project right now is massive pull for players rather than the same old shit with the likes of Burnley etc.

it was somebody on a podcast that said it. At least as somebody else has said he has put it out there rather than make a vague statement which they then claim they broke the news!

You would certainly hope so but I think money and money alone is often the number 1 decision maker for a player these days

He said it was the same source that told him about the AST deal before it happened and IF it was true about the billing deal being close it would show how far we’ve come, guessing the if is a very big if

He is obviously a quality player but the few times I saw him play last season I wasn't impressed with his work rate. Maybe that is not representative of how he normally plays but it stood out in those games.

This.

And let's have it right, we are so far bigger than Burnley regardless of a few years in the top flight.

Is there any evidence of him actually reporting the BTA deal before the event or it becoming common knowledge on here?

He plays the central midfield role with ease . He's not a 6 but he's easily the best 8 we could be looking at .

Not the name I was told. However, it's the final week, things can change in a matter of hours, some deals don't materialise till last minute. That would be some signing. Not going to add any fuel to the fire, as I simply haven't heard his name mentioned.

Interesting on one of the Shef Utd forums the opinion seems to be they can't afford his wages. Also wandering why Wilder is playing Hamer out wide left position.

Gus is an 8 , pure and simple . He can ping a 30-40 yard pass , he tracks back and tackles well and he is box to box .
How Wilder doesn't see this is baffling

I take it an 8 is a central midfield player ? I'm not sure how Wilder has kept his job at Shef Utd. Maybe they can't afford to sack him.

Think Lampard or Gerrard. Not suggesting Gus is anywhere near them but that is where he did damage for us
