Transfer deals often have clauses that include payments when certain milestones are reached
Promotion would be a typical clause that triggered an extra payment

Would just be a standard promotion clause wouldn't it. Doubt its anything out of the ordinary or anything to worry about.

Why is a Coventry podcast interviewing the chairman of Peterboro?

He said it triggers a six figure payment so he has a vested interest in us being promoted.

So many Eddie Hearn worshipping 'lads' crawl up MacAnthony's arse on a daily basis. The skyblues extra lot are no different. No idea why they thought it would be good for a Coventry City fan to listen to the posh chairman.

Perhaps because he's open and quite vocal about matters that we as fans don't always see, seems to have a good knowledge and understanding of fans desires and appears to be willing to speak with fans. Oh, and he's quite tied up in the chaos regarding the end of season decision...

Taken from BBC Sport website:

"Elsewhere, six League One clubs have united to express their determination to finish the season.

Peterborough chairman Darragh MacAnthony has released a statement on behalf of Posh, Oxford, Sunderland, Fleetwood, Portsmouth and Ipswich.

League One clubs are due to meet with the EFL board on Friday to discuss options for completing the season."

I'd be interested to hear what his opinions were and I certainly don't worship Eddie Hearn.

I would think the main reason MacAnthony wants us to go up is to get us out of the way for next season, the bloke is full of blarney, loves seeing his name in the press showing how important he is and by appointing useless managers like Darren Ferguson, again, obviously likes being around the top slots of division one but not quiet making it, again.

Apologies for pigeon holing you. Well done for citing the source you've copy and pasted on this occasion though.

Does it give you insight into football and football in general though? Multiple times during MacAthony’s chairmanship he’s actually shown to be very much out of touch with his own club. Just because he makes a big noise in the press and on his socials doesn’t mean he’s knowledgable or a football expert.

I’d be very wary of anything that man says as he’s known for seriously stretching the truth and repeatedly producing random statements from thin air to push his own agendas and appease the club’s fanbase.

The clause fee is probably included in the overall fee we were all guessing we paid for hi at the start

Many Coventry fans did listen and enjoyed it. Seems they have a better understanding of what their listenership wants than you.

I’m sure they would be more Interested in Coventry players / board members but if not available then this is more interesting than nothing.
