See he has stated a willingness to drop to league one for a contract and wants to prove himself since being let go by Stoke and is happy to accept low league 1 money. I'd suggest this guy would score regular in our league.

There's low League money and then there's what we'd pay.

9 months too late, he would have been an asset in January, taking the pressure off Armstrong IMO.
I would rather have him now than Tudgay, however all what ifs

Was this the player a few years back tried to force a move to Totenham from West Brom ?
I think I remember he even turned up at Totenham on a transfer deadline without the conscent of West Brom and was turned away ?

Same guy yes, it was QPR he turned up at. It was actually his agent who fucked that up for him and Odemwingie got the brunt of it. The agent told him a move was on and a deal had been agreed between the clubs but that was just the agent trying to force a move and receive a huge payout.

How much would you pay per week for a 35 year old that has only played 12 times in the last 18 months since being out for 7 months with a knee ligament injury?

Would be a cracking signing.

Wages the stumbling block though. Perhaps if we didn't boycott, turned up and started supporting the team we would be able to afford him.

I think my paper boy has bigger earning potential than Odemwingie.
That stunt, whether it was his agent or not , he pulled trying to get a move to QPR, was an absolute disgrace and hugely disrespectful to everyone at Stoke and stained his career forever, and for that he should never play football in England again.
