I never realised that he was spotted by Sillett, despite it saying on his wiki page as well.

Favourite experience away from home was Everton when he scored just before half time after running from the edge of our box and the city faithful sang all through half time. Ended 1-1

What a legend. That Villa goal has to be the "most 70's" goal that was scored in the 90's. You can almost hear the theme to The Big Match!

I remember that game, stood the entire half time belting out "Sky Blue Army". And an amazing goal from Nuddy. I can remember reading Bobby Gould's notes in the next home programme commenting that John Motson had been at the game and had been so impressed by the Cov fans to make a mention of them to Bobby.
