Read his book, 'How to be a Footballer' over the summer - fascinating and funny read. Just to say he confirms what we all knew about Craig Bellamy being a complete twat. Apparently often referred to himself in the third person (like the Donald) especially when bigging himself up. That's not normal behaviour.

As a genral rule always be wary of people who refer to themselves in third person - tend to be untrustworthy and do so either through eagerness to hear their own name and self-promote or because there are actions/behaviours they do they don't want to associate themselves with so create this extra 'persona' to cope with it mentally as they convince themselves it's not them doing it by referring to a third person.

His podcast is great so I'm guessing his book will be a real easy read. Will look to pick it up at some point.

Yep, easy reading and insights into the foolishness of young men with big money.

Also never realised Peter Crouch holds the record for the most headed goals in the Premiership. This will probably never be beaten.

He comes across as a real fan of the game and pretty mentally strong in dealing with all the abuse re his body shape.

He used to drink in my local. Him, Spider from Coronation Street, and one of the Chuckle Brothers were seen in there so could it have been any better?!?

Bellamy's an interesting character really. Does seem to have genuinely tried very hard for charity, but then who knows what happened here! Bellamy 'devastated' by charity probe

I have read it too and can thoroughly recommend it. He writes in an easy style and doesn't take himself or the football world too seriously. Found myself laughing out loud at a couple of his stories

I've read it. It's a good read, some funny stories and insight into the life of a footballer.

His book is 99p on the daily Kindle deal today. I tried linking it but the forum seems to automatically convert an Amazon link to media

Bloody hell, and I always thoughts it was Isaac Asimov.

Crouch, the lanky streak of piss and top notch sci-fi novelist.
