Disappointing results at home in the final half of the season for sure.

But some comments on here over the last 48 hours are way over the top and very negative.

Over 4 years Robins on a limited budget has taken us from L2 to the top half of the Championship. He has consistently improved the team - season after season. I don't care if we finish 8th or 16th this season - the team has progressed significantly since last season. Apart from a handful of games (happens to most teams over a season) - we've looked very competitive and a match for any team. And we've been brilliant to watch. That couldn't be said for most of last season.

So onto next season - fully expecting the usual break-downs over the close season as new signings are immediately written off - but looking forward to seeing us progress again.

Incremental progress is all that can be realistically expected & we have consistently done this. It's not really common to overhaul a squad & challenge for promotion after promotion immediately unless you have enormous investment.

People forget we have a squad of rough diamonds, young, improving players & just a handful of proven Championship players whilst still carrying League One & even League Two players. To be competing as we have with multi million pound squads of Championship & Premier League players assembled over a period of many years is exceptional.

So your complaining about the negative comments by being negative about the fans 🙄 ...... I don't know about writing off new signings, but I remember a lot of euforior from some on here when Walker and Waghorn signed, so I guess you have to take it all with a pinch of salt.

Personally I'm looking forward to seeing how some of our young players develop next year, Eccles is one who could really make an impact, but there are a couple more who could break into the first team next season.

Luton? Huddersfield? Millwall? Even Blackpool are only one win away

Maybe they have done well too? It happens you know.

Of course it does but we have spent more time in the top 6 this season than any since the first season post premier

The margins are also so tight this season

It is an opportunity missed not for promotion but certainly the lottery of the play offs

Blackpool are in (the dreaded!) 16th and by all accounts have done well. Some even want their manager to replace Robins.

If they’d won yesterday they’d be above us and May well be yet

I just love the spelling of euphoria

All been in this league (or higher) longer than us yet we've competed with all of them.
Luton have done very well though, it is possible for more than one club to overachieve.
Luton are a great example of what can be achieved
After terrible mismanagement they went out of the league for several years and only managed to get back by appointing arch long ball merchant John Still, who was an expert on getting the best out of moderate players who were prepared to work within his prehistoric game plan
Once he'd got them back up they moved him on and have tried to do things in a less cynical way
They've have done bloody well when you think about it

Anyone got Kenny Jackett's number?

Why David let’s be honest you can’t even afford a phone anyway. I assume you post on here only when the City Centre Library is available
