8 points guarantees promotion regardless of other teams.

I think it's 6 with goal difference, or otherwise 7 whether Millwall lose or draw

What about Ipswich with two games in hand? Any affect on this? I think Ips and Boro can still catch us if we win two more?

Boro need to lose or draw later for that to happen, and then it would be on goal difference

Ipswich are only relevant for the title now. If boro don't win later then we can be promoted Saturday if we win both games

If it’s “on goal difference” it’s not secured, the celebration will only be if it’s mathematically certain.

Nope, they can only hit 87 points now, Boro can hit 88 maximum. Therefore, 89 points (2 wins) clinches promotion.

Boro have 71 points with 18 to play for, I make that 89

Corrected me before I could correct myself! I thought they had 70 points. I’m confident they’ll drop points today or next Saturday.

It’ll be over by Blackburn imo, one way or another and better yet, we’ll secure it ourselves rather than waiting on the Sunday result.

Whilst i'd usually agree with this, we aren't letting slip a 20-30 goal advantage.

I've been hesitant to say it, but its more or less done now.

They can't both do it cause they play each other n.

Ipswich got away with one today - Perfectly good Birmingham equaliser disallowed for ball going out, on a par with how bad the penalty decision was against us vs Derby.

Boro can only get to 89, even if they win all their games. We win 2, we are on 89. We go up on goal difference.

Boro playing well against Swansea. I'm a bit torn on them leading TBH, at one level I should be hoping they drop points, but I'd much prefer them to grab 2nd spot rather than Ipswich and realistically they need 3 points tonight to have a fair shot at that given they have to play each other still and games in hand.

Boro losing. If they lose today. We only need one draw and one win to go up.

Not mathematically. We would need 5 points to do it without goal difference

Leaving Ipswich aside. If Boro lose, only Millwall can catch us, if we win one game and draw 1. Millwall would have to win all their games. We would be on the same points.
Our goal difference is 42..Milwall 9. They would have to score 30 plus goals, in 5 games and not concede. Unless we concede a shed load of goals.
